Uh oh. Looks like another Vet DLC dungeon I leave out of the rotation.

Vet pugs have no chance from what I gather.

Or people that have done it could have a little patience with people that haven't so they can learn it. Thus getting more people in the pool that can do the encounters and making Pugs easy again.

It's new. I didn't beat vet icp until at least 10+ runs. It's not suppose to be beat first try. Did you beat mortal combat the first attempt? Did they nerf It? No so just be patient and learn the dang mechanics people it's not impossible i mean I saw people were doing 13 min speedruns.

Here's a cleaned up review on the Falkreath Hold Bosses for ya. Took a couple tries on the last boss but it was mostly coordination issues.

You actually need practice to understand and get the hang of the last boss fight. If you go in with a group and wipe on the last boss for 2 hours, you get very good at dealing with the mechanics. Really the only RNG of the fight is doing the group-fireballs while the fire ring is up.

I got the skin on my first day PS4 EU , as a warden tank i didnt even need healer, we did the HM and speedrun with 3 DDs . If u r not a patato tank (like trial tanks running alkosh and mag recovery on jeweries) u can sustain by urself .
Bloodroot forge is a lot harder on HM to run without healer ,but its also duable with 3 magsorcs and a Warden tank. I dont know if a DK can manage to selfsustain as a tank in HM Bloodroot, cuz DKs are more like Trial Tanks for the group utility provided by the igneous shield, wardens on the other side are KINGS of selfheals as a tanks, i will make a guide video about tanking the new vet DLC dungeons on HM.

In my opinion this is one of those bosses that appear very hard at first but become very easy if you understand the mechanics. On their own his mechanics are all very simple, but when multiple come at the same time it gets messy. So the trick is to understand when he does which mechanic and avoid getting multiple at once.

It's a bit of a DPS test. You need to be able to quickly take care of the adds.

If your DPS is fine, then it's just a matter of learning the mechanics. He says a specific word before he uses his 1-shot mechanic so you have time to run behind a pillar (turn on subtitles so you can recognize it more easily).

Please don't ask for nerfs on things you can't beat. Veteran is supposed to be challenging. If you have trouble, then keep trying until you get the mechanics down. If you don't want to practice it, then just play on normal.

The problem with this boss fight is where he does the swirling fire balls move when the fire ring is also still up. We once also had attronachs up at that point. If you are a stamina dd, it's RIP. You don't have enough time to react to the swirling fire balls, because the room is simply too small. This RNG irritates me. Unless you can get a bone shield or barrier popped right at that time, stamina dd will need to be lucky to survive that situation. My team had the mechanics under control, but every time the swirling fire balls came together with the fire ring, it was RIP.

And one thing completely pissed me off. At some point the boss started shooting fire projectiles at me, THROUGH the pillar! Please tell me this is a bug, because this is pretty stupid.

I found the boss to be very hard on my first attempts but as i progressed through the dungeon it started to become rather easy. All you need is to really get used to mechanics, be aware and kill adds fast. If dps is too low you could even go 3 dds one healer / tank and do even hard mode. Nothing hard really.

Only issue one might have in there the boss room is very small and crowded. :D

There's a lot going on, but my group and I managed to clear it last night after trying some different strategies. Here's what worked for us, as a pretty picture because I communicate visually:

The fireballs do kind of own me as a vamp, though. But it's something to work around. Overall I really appreciated the challenge!

I'm just now seeing that you posted the doodle!! A+!

Now not just responding to rhap: Stacking behind one pillar works, do that when you're over the "just doing this for the first time" phase; stam DD is FINE in this dungeon (I am stam NB, can confirm); pick a pillar and go one direction with it around the room; it ain't that bad.

It's not a stam DD issue at all --nor whatever else. The fireballs just aren't that difficult to avoid. It's a matter of becoming familiar with the fight, getting out of [insert your color here], using pillars for safety when needed, and doing enough damage to break the shield and execute before becoming overwhelmed after boss hits 15%-ish. That's really it.

    Also
There's only 4 circles for suck in phase. They can overlap so this saves space, though mind you never walk over someone else path or ya dead. Last phase is really depending on group synergy. I highly agree on that. If it helps we dd it with war horn, ebon, barrier, maybe minor force somewhere in there. I think hardest part dungeons is finding a real tank.... I talking about those who know aggro control, positioning, priority, a bit of sustain... and block at least those heavy attacks.

P.S new dungeons are great places hone or learn how to a tank and not a meat shield..

I know either many with agree or disagree but the main issue is the final boss.
Maximum of 8 pillars. 6 on hard mode.
constant fire AOE on the outer unless inner, both do high damage when im not even a vampire.
then there is the "Fiery Blast" that can 1 shot anyone. even tank. for 100k+ damage

This dungeon is also pretty near impossible for those who are stamina users as well.

then there is the 6-7 adds? Im guessing how many spawn but they have alot of health and it's best to use ultimate on them but then comes 20% and under
constant add respawns. boss has shields most of the time and gets shield back anyway when it's goneI was

I also heard that the minotaurs can also 1 shot magicka sorcs and ignore shields?

My opinion is though for the end boss, maybe reduce the amount of health the adds have or reduced fire aoe damage.

    Any thoughts?

(I was running not even hard mode dozens of times and we'd get close but he'd keep having shields)

P.S There is also a bug with pillars, behind a pillar? you still get shot by his Grovel ability when you were behind the pillar..)

I thought so too at first, but you simply have be out of line of sight just like in vmol. If you see boss while be behind the pillar you might die.
