If specced right. Stamblades are pretty durable. I'm actually looking to go the other way. I have 2 stamblades. I'm thinking of making the lover level one a magblade. I know what all the regen skills to take for a stam build. I have no clue where to start for a magica based build. From what I hear, survivability is based on shields and cloak. That doesn't really sound that fun.
Just an opinion/advice. Probably not what you asked for and may not apply to you.
Don't change race on your current character to convert it from mag to stam and I will provide the reasons. A better option would be to level a new stamblade to 50? Its really easy and fast probably like a week ( worst case if you know what you're doing).
1. You waste crowns. But if money isn't a concern for you ( its cheap tbh) then this point holds no weight.
2. You might be bored with your magblade now. Or you might feel sNB is more powerful than mNB. But after a certain period of time, you might get bored with that sNB of yours and might want to play mNB for which you'll again have to respec your character.
PS: Just my 2 cents. I'm not stating that this would be better in general.
That was my experience as well.sNB is prolly hardest one to master.
Stamblades often have trouble with survivabiltiy, due to lack of an "Oh, crud!" skill that can get them from near-death back into the fight (insta-heals, shields) - at least until they PvPlay for vigor. But done right one can easily balance that weakness with other options, skills or gear... and in PvP they are usually "all of nothing" gankers anyhow, either you take down your victim with your burst, or you cloak and hope to slink away...If specced right.
