It is funny reading some of the comments in this thread. Very entertaining.

I have cleared a vet dungeon with a CP15 tank, not a typo. Really not an issue. Someone started a vote kick.

As a tank has a CP100 dps, CP 550 dps and a healer that wanted to kick that low CP dps as soon as we spawned into the vet dungeon. None of us went with her vote and she dropped group. Apparently for the better. We 3 manned it, a tank and 2 dps without issue.

Often, when I heal a random I queued for my dps is a 1/3 to 1/2 of the groups dps based on combat metrics regardless of the CP in the group. Makes me wonder what kind of dps those high CP players have that like to kick the lower dps players. I often think they are kicking them because they need someone to carry then. Explains why the dungeons do not go well otherwise.

Just food for thought. Why are you really kicking that low CP player? Is it because you need someone that has decent dps to carry you because one player with decent dps can carry a group in most vet dungeons easily.

So no bow light/heavy attacks or no 2 handed use.
What you guys are saying is be a sorc or magic build or gtfo.

No it's not; I play stam DK and templar...

2 handed use is ok... but it's more pVP / single target, unless i'm mistaken? It's just it lacks in AOE in certain fights which can make a difference.

Light / heavy attacks on bow are just not optimal usage of the backbar as you should probably light attack > skill > light attack > skill > light attack > skill etc... switch.. use main bar to heavy attack/restore resources...

I think some people are saying if people constantly light/heavy attack on bow and neglect the main bar then that is just not efficient use of the build and reduces clear times etc...

TL:DR play what you want but try to help your group out a bit or at least if somebody has advice then try to work with them as it probably will be for the better.

I don't know about your experience, but when I pug group finder (DD), I rarely get below 80% group DPS, no matter the other DD's CP. As some have mentioned, there are way too many CP630 that just spam light attack and have below 4% group DPS. On average, I wouldn't say CP300 is the new CP160. CP160 players are still trying hard and listening to advice. A light-attack-spamming CP630 with 2% group DPS, however? He's "exp", he's gonna link you his WGT achievement in FG and tell you to *** off (actually happened recently).

CP160 is only opportunity to exchange usefull loot. There difference between cp160 and cp300 is less then skill factor and mechanics learning. So i prefer CP160 player who knows the mechanics then CP300 player who does not.

OK so I actually had some awful experiences recently to backup my original vote; Tempest Island, 1 CP300, 2x CP 110... It was terrible. I grouped as a healer and the damage was so low they didn't kill the first boss. It took 10-15 minutes to get there.

I thought I'd give it a go and I said to the tank (2h, no shield/sword) to use a different setup and they just flamed me.

The second time I tried to use activity finder I was grouped with a tank who used a staff. He left the group within a matter of minutes and the group was left with only me. Fun times?

I didn't attempt a pledge again that day and instead just farmed random mats and hosted trial runs... Yay!

CP is a terrible gauge for player ability. I've seen completely inept high CP potatoes, and I've seen very good low CP players. I had a couple of CP 300ish DPS recently who couldn't even kill a shade to free the chained player in FG II and kept exploding themselves with the beam.

I'm pretty sure high CP potatoes got to their level by riding dolmen zerg trains or using other speed leveling methods because I can't think of any other reason a high CP player can't play.

CP really isn't a good indicator of player competence. Regardless of the CP a player has I will give them the opportunity to prove their ability and worth.

I don't know if it is my bad luck or if some of you guys are just being nice to be nice?

Pretty much every time I have played with low CPs something goes wrong; the tank isn't actually a tank and uses a staff, the DD's can't put out much damage or use a sword & shield, people don't respond well to "advice" and think you are flaming them just for fun, boss fights take forever, people don't know basic mechanics i.e. dodge roll out of the red area... something always goes wrong. Usually when I'm with a group of max CP nothing tends to go wrong, maybe some people are built a little less than optimal but it's fine.

Which is why I would prefer grouping with higher CP over lower (<200) if given the choice.
