DK Tank Builds

So I am starting a new character that will be a Nord DK Tank. This is my first time with a tank and I have very little experience with a DK as well. I have mostly played as a NB DPS/solo character in the past. I have 2 different builds for this character, one for PvP, solo or group play and one for PvE.

PvP Build:

http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoBuildData?id=9852

PvE Build:

http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoBuildData?id=22010

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Wanders-Many-Rivers: EP Argonian Scout

Starfi Ice-Winter EP Nord Eccentric Unkillable Nuisance
Malthman the Heavy EP Nord Delayed Healer

What kind of content are you thinking of doing with that PvE set up? I wouldn't recommend all that much into Health Recovery in PvE, its one of the worst possible stats in PvE, self healing gives far far more.

And when it comes to Tanking in PvP, what role do you want it to fill? Annoying Meat Shield, Crowd Controller, Debuffer, Buffer or Damage Dealing Tank? Or maybe a mix of all. You need a set purpose, you currently seem to have a meat shield set up, which is ok, just wondering if that is your intention. Also be prepared that health recovery will be affected by the Defile debuff next update, aka on monday.

So I haven't really done much PvE before beyond questing which means that I'm not very familiar with anything involving dungeons or trials.

For PvP, I was planning on being an Annoying Meat Shield and a little bit of Crowd Controller. Why would they have defile affect health recovery though? That's annoying as a lot of build was planned around that.

Because sets like Troll King made health recovery too strong, since it is not affected by Battlespirit, it was a strong and easy way to be really sturdy.

When it comes to PvE, you want to try and use as many sets as your experience will allow you to make the team better. Ebon, Alkosh, Torugs, Tava's, Dragon and many other sets gives either direct or indirect buffs to the team, in either survivability or in extra damage. To sustain yourself all you need is a bunch of block cost reduction and Igneous shield, the rest the healer will do, if you want to make sure even more that you stay a live you can slot dragon blood and or vigor. But in PvE buffing the team is really important.

I guess playing as a solo DPS nightblade in PvP has made me value survival over group play. I will have to change that view going forward. Also why not just tone down Troll King a little rather than affect everyone . Either way, Major Defile would drop my health recovery to 1700-1800 if it stays at 30%.

Okay, I will be adjusting the PvE build later today, but is the PvP build okay for what I would like to do?

It will probably work, be in a group, be the meat shield and CC the crap out of everything and your group will like it. Some don't appreciate the value of a straight tank in PvP but some definitely do. Though since you want to CC a lot in there you might want to try Swarm Mother 2p, its even getting a buff on monday, lowering the cooldown to 1s from 2s.

How did you get in with your DK Tank?

Also, anyone that has commented on this thread, what would you recommend for a an mDK tank?

I'm a Dunmer DK DPS and will be looking to flick between DK and Tank depending on the situation but wanting to use the same toon rather than start a new one. What would you recommend for this?
    I'm a Dunmer DK Damage Dealer - My that's a lot of D's
