The NB decided to gank OP. And he got his consequences. Dont forget, choice and consequences are the definitive trait of RPGs.

Also, the action of OP also has consequences. We need to accept this.

You need to accept that what the NB did was perfectly fine by way of the specific design of that zone, and what the OP did breaks the code of conduct.

If OP got their revenge and was done with it, fine. No problem. This was not the case.

As I stated above, that particular line of the code of conduct is up for debate, because
stalking or any other undesired behavior used to cause discomfort or disrupt another customer's experience.

the NB caused discomfort and disrupted the OP's experience by one of the 'any other undesired behavior'.
It is not up for debate. PvP'ing in a PvP zone is desired behavior. Both sides are free to behave this way. OP's case is a non-issue, its only humorous and harmless b/c he needs a zerg to kill one guy. That NB may be getting zerged down a lot more than usual, but he still wins the e-peen contest b/c it takes an army to deal with him apparently.
Glad we can make an agreement. Both sides are the same in terms of code of conduct. A lot of people just think calling a zerg from guild is not in-game behavior.

In my spot getting 20k+ tel vars takes almost 2 hours, if starting with 0

If you're not interested in competing with others in ESO, don't PvP -- it's kinda the whole point.

Based on this thread, you should probably gather Tel Var items via the same method all the other overly sensitive PvE'ers do: by sitting on the sidelines in Rawl'ka and waiting for other players with the proper wherewithal to manage IC to put up items in guild vendors for you to buy with gold. Sounds like more your speed.

I feel badly mostly for the guild. Girl goes to the sewers, gets killed, is angry because she lost all that time.

Riles all the fellas in her guild up to get torches and pitchforks out, they spend hours over days - probably losing as many stones to the hunter and dying at least as much as they reported to her or each other.

Their hours of time add up to far more than hers, but isn't factored in.

Maybe I have the gender stuff wrong in this instance (I hate being patriarchal) - but I bet thats it judging by the OP's sig. They came to protect their lady.

And now those guys will get eaten one by one, for a while, as long as they are down there - and not say anything to her or each other because they are embarassed.

If I were guild leader, and it was as I suspect? Be no repeats of it. The ethics/uncool/personal stuff of the situation one thing, the guild practicality and the health of the main body another.

Well, I never kick someone for that for starters. But mob rule is the way things go, and in this case you have the people that condone the OP's actions on one hand, and the others that think he's out of line for calling in an entire guild to hunt down a player.

Go over the facts presented here, present your opinion and see what happens.

Personally, I think the OP is completely in the wrong here and overreacted to being ganked. He's had plenty of chances to bank his TV, he could've bought a sigil at his base before setting out for instance, and he decided to blacklist this NB in his guild. Definitely out of line imo

This is a glorious and horrible idea. Just in Vivec alone, AD would put so large a bounty on one of its own players that blue and red could buy mansions for everybody.

    They should totally do it.

As far as the actual discussions - this is one of those cases where everyone is correct. Is ganking part of the game and legit play? Of course. Is farming with a zerg? Of course.

Ganking and zerging both cause rage, and both in some instances could easily be abused.

As far as revenge as a motivation is concerned - I didn't spend half of last night in Farragut because I like the scenery.

After a few hours of farming (still only simple chests around) i fall down to 25% hp on the next mob group and bam! A bannana NB stricking from behind and im down, lost 12k tel vars :(

I got so pissed i got some guild members to spam kill him everytime they encountered him in IC, and now the count is they killed him 62 times the last 2 days.

Is this overreacting or would you do the same? Anyone else had experience with these annoying NBs in the sewers?

    >:) If only we could put bounties on players in cydrolli. Would be a great gold sink :D

thats a brilliant idea, but i think it should be a limited time thing and ONLY if you get killed by that player. so you cant just put random bounties out on people. 3 days for instance on the person who killed you. or players. but of course the bounty comes from your bank account.

I say if someone is hiding in the shadows ... laying in wait ... ready to pounce upon/insta-kill whomever they deem to be weak / defenseless ... well I say:

    KARMA

Evidently, that person in the sewers had a huge accumulation of bad karma. When you put out negativity in the world, you will attract negative things ... KARMA.

Yes, this is just a game ... however ... there are real people behind those toons, real people governing the actions of their toons, and those real people have real feelings. Cowards enjoy harming the weak and defenseless, it makes them feel good, it gives them a false sense of 'empowerment' ... however, all they are really doing is building up a lot of bad karma for themselves.

And, why in the heck was that ganker still lurking in the sewers for the 'next two days' ... I mean think about it ... he/she continued to go back time and time again despite the number of times karma was there to kick him in the ass. What the coward should have done was apologize to their victim ... an apology probably would have ended it right then and there, not to mention clearing up some of that negative karma he/she had accumulated.

I'm not saying what OP did was right, personally I don't think that is the way I would have responded. But, what I am saying is that if you 'fight' like a coward by preying on the weak / defenseless, you gotta know all that bad karma is going to come back to bite you in the ass ... sooner or later.

Edit: My opinion was about ganking in the sewers. I know it's still part of the pvp zone technically speaking, but of all the pvp areas, the sewers are the least pvp'ish. The districts have flags that can be taken by factions, and Cyro, well it's Cyro ... it's the most war-like pvp zone we have. While I don't like gankers, I don't necessarily frown upon that play style in Cyro, or in the Districts.
