Would the New Viper's DoT proc Valkyn Skoria?

I've got a DoT Stamina NB build in the works and if Viper's will proc Skoria, it's goin' on it.

It does, and so does sheer venom, use both and ....yea. Another note, skoria needs a nerf just like the other op proccsets.

I am not one to judge because my build is yolo and non meta, but...
Why would you go for delayed damage (Dots) when you have got the best stamClass with the best spammable/burst abilities?
Are you bored with your stMB?

Skorias got a 5 sec cooldwon, Velidreth has a 9 second cooldown. Skoria assuming optimal uptime will yield more damage than Velidreth even though it is flame and hp bonus rather than wep damage. (especially if there is a magDK in the group).

Rapid strikes is just a little bit more damage than Surprise attack, but since its not direct damage (Selene) it won't be as useful. Skoria procs from 6 of my slotted 10 basic abilities. both of my enchants procs (Poison and fire), and itself if it procs burning. So the goal is to get it to a high uptime.

I don't actually have selene right now, otherwise I'd compare it to that.
