The bonus damage dealt by execute abilities now works more intuitively???

General --- The bonus damage dealt by execute abilities, such as Assassin’s Blade or Reverse Slash, now works more intuitively with global damage done bonuses, such as Mighty or Minor/Major Berserk. Execute bonus damage is now multiplicative with global damage bonuses instead of additive.

Can some on please give me a For Dummies version of this explanation? Specifically how it affects magicka night blades? Also I do not see mages wrath in the comment.. should it be there or only Assassin’s Blade or Reverse Slash are included in the change.

Thank,

Basically, Impale is going to be doing the same damage it used to in Homestead and before. Morrowind changed the formula for execute damage scaling in a way that made it (and every other execute that is based on a % damage increase -- so every execute except for sorcs') do less damage than it did before. This patch just reverts that change.

They say "work more intuitively" because if you test out how much damage your Impale is doing, you'll see that its damage doesn't increase by 300% when your target goes below 25% health, contrary to what the tooltip says. This is because of the way other %-based bonuses are factored in on the live servers. This change just reverts that weird Morrowind math-based stealth nerf, so that the tooltip is actually true again.
7-day PVP campaign regular 2016-2019, Flawless Conqueror. MagDK/stamplar/stamwarden/mageblade. Requiem, Legend, Knights of Daggerfall. Currently retired from the wars; waiting on performance improvements.
