Spawn of Mephala
(1 items) Adds 1064 Max Health
(2 items) When you deal damage with a fully-charged Heavy Attack, you create a web for 10 seconds that deals 1044 Poison Damage every 1 second and reduces the Movement Speed of enemies within by 50%. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds.

While some monster sets were updated in this round of PTS, I noticed that Spawn of Mephala doesn't appear in the notes. Compared to other options, it's a weak, situational set that needs to be improved. It looks like it caters to tank-like builds, so why not experiment with making it similar to Bahara's Curse and Leeching Plate, where the damage returns healing to the caster? Maybe sap tanks could be a little bit more fun with a change like this, especially since sapping sets cannot crit anymore.

    It was changed to Stam for the 1 piece and had the 2nd piece damage increased by 5% in the very first PTS update for HOTR

    It caters nicely for Stam DK builds which use some HA and works nice especially after these changes so I'm pretty happy with how it is already

    I don't see why there has to be a cooldown with this set.

    I might consider using it in PvP if it instead just replaced the previous web by putting a new one under your opponent when you land a heavy attack.

    As it stands, people (and mobs, the radius is small) just move put of it before it deals more than 1-2k dmg.

    Regarding spawn of mephala I think the snare and heavy attack has to go to make it ever viable. Even if snare meant something in PVE, it is just 20% more than caltrops that are everywhere and being forced to wait 10sec when enemy gets out of the AoE in first second just make it ***

    I'm with DDuke on this one, I don't see why it needs a CD. The area of effect isn't great, the damage isn't either, and replacing it with a new aoe after every heavy isn't going to suddenly make it OP. On bosses you can easily keep it up 90% of the time, and on trash having to heavy attack repeatedly is not going to be a good gain.

    The problems I see with it currently is that its too easy to move out of, even PVE mobs waltz out of it. And it disappears if the initial target dies, but puts you on CD regardless. Having to land a fully charged heavy for a relatively negligible AOE damage proc isn't good design.

    In Fact, all sets that require a full heavy attack to trigger it's effect are subpar to the other proc sets. Full heavy is hard to do outside ganking.

    Shock master is the worst of those (HA + crit), Mephala is a second close one
    Sarcasm is something too serious to be taken lightly
