Would it be safe to name a character Hieronymus Vex ?

After Hieronymus Lex, the code of conduct states
No name that defames or impersonates another player, an employee of ZeniMax, or any property of ZeniMax. E.g. no "TES GM", "Tiber Septim" or any name that impersonates another player's account name.

But since I'm changing part of his name to be part om my own character's name will it be allowed ? This is why I'm asking before I go and create an alt level and then have to change name

You are asking the Player base? Why not send in a ticket?

Worst case scenario you're forced to change it to something else. Just do it.

This and he was an faction character in Oblivion, no chance some would confuse him.
An shopkeeper in Falkreach was named Zaria.

Making an Khajiit named Razum-dar might be off, and he is an major ESO character.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Reason I was asking to double check since its so close to the original minus 1 letter

Since you posted it on the forums...the names probably already taken by now.

Hieronymus is just a name, like John or Bob, or George. Granted it hasn't been fashionable since the 1500's, but sometimes old things get new again!

Anyway I can tell you the name will be fine. Name away! And paint some pretty oranges while you are at it.
    “Whatever.”

I've never gotten into any trouble for mashing lore friendly names together like a sugar addled kid with too many hotwheels. Hell, I've got a Khajiit who is literally named after an NPC from TES3 with an ESO honorific attached, so... probably not a problem.

And this is the best answer you will get here.

If you are asking it seems you already suspect there is a chance the name would not fly.
