the problem is indeed that people are a little "burnt out". the problem is that for a very limited time, pvp was incentivized properly.
create proper incentive, year round, and you will see more consistency in population.
with that being said, why are Xarxes and Kastav still around?

While I can say 'hey there's a lot of new faces in Vivec!', I recognize a lot of them are Shor and Sotha refugees who are escaping the dullness or overnight map flipping zergs and temporarily keeping Vivec's population afloat.

It's got very stale very quick.
Big blobs fighting over the same areas every day. Try to go to other places to start new fights and get run over very quickly by masses of players who don't want to seperate from the horde.
Logged in for an hour a couple of nights ago and did nothing but socialise. People who know me know I play this game with a passion and log in for a lot of time. It's starting to get in a bad way.

I'm feeling it, too. Only been playing 2-3 hours a night at most lately.
OTOH, Fallout 4 has some new fun mods out.

The fact that double AP and Pelinal's boxes were temporary bonus rewards motivated a lot of people too. Don't forget that.
