"Midyear Victor's Laurel Wreath" : color changed after dyeing dress

Hi
I have a problem with the laurel wreath from the PVP event. It's supposed to look like gold :


But, when I dyed my dress with another character (it looked like gold before), I got this awful color (and my character isn't happy about that as you can see ) :


I changed the dye, removed it but I still have this color! I don't know if this kind of things happened before, if it's a common problem with hats but I'd like to know if there's a way I can change it back to gold!

Oh, happy day to me! That brown color matches perfectly with my current gear color scheme. Looks like this bug won't be ruining MY day

Edit: I'm going to make a wild guess that you used one of the consumable cash shop dyes? You can probably control the color better as an ESO+ subscriber ;P Otherwise, get completely naked but only wear the laurel, then try using another dye to change its color again.

The metal color of jewelry and head accessories changes to to hair color is what I've noticed, its not usually because of dyes.

Tested, can confirm it does change while gear is being dyed.

Can someone provide a picture of what the Laurel Wreath looks like on a female character with the Covenant Locks hairstyle? I need to see if this costume will justify me buying Morrowind for it.

Well, the color isn't that ugly actually but the shiny gold one looked so much better with her skin
No I didn't buy anything, I dyed the dress with ESO+. I won't dye anything now, I don't want this color on my first character

inclinations : I noticed that too! But my character has golden ornaments and it happened after dyeing.
GreenSoup2HoT : i don't have one but maybe someone else can do that

Clear dyes from your gear, remove gold laurel, dye gear, put the laurel back on will probably work as it stays gold on pre dyed gear.

Wait, so it doesn't have it's own dedicated head piece color module over on the costume tab at the Dye Station? Is it not considered part of the "Hat" collection?

(I'm at work right now and won't be able to receive it until tonight.)

Its an odd piece. Its in the hat section but wears like head accessories. For instance I have do not show helm enabled and it replaces the head accessory I wear, and appears with do not show helm ticked.

Yes that's odd, as inclinations said. You can't dye the wreath, this is what I have with the ESO+ dye station (it's here but you can't change it) :

She's not a redguard but an imperial

Whoa, you can make imperials that dark?

I wish all the humanoid races had a dark skinned option.

That's...disheartening. Hopefully the bug happens to me. I don't want a laurel with that lightness of gold color. You may want to repost this in the bugs section to see if they will patch in a color panel for it.

Yes, that's one of the reasons she's an imperial actually xD I wanted a character with dark skin!
I'd love to have this option for other races!

Hitting the randomize button resets it to the default colour for me, and the paint brush instead of the bucket won't change it which is nice.

It's not a hat so you can't dye it. It's a Facial Accessory, just got put in the wrong tab. You notice that other Facial Accesories won't show up if you have it equipped. As an accessory item, it's color is determined by hair color.

Edit: If it does change I wanna know what tool (brush or bucket) that made it change, I wanna make mine a different color

Well, you can see the color changed on the second picture, when I dyed the costume (with Eso+).

You must have used a dye stamp as it doesn't have a dye channel. But it changes if you use a dye stamp because that one dyes everything you are wearing costume wise. Next time remove it before using one or as suggested above hit randomised if that works

You can apparently dye the wreath by using "dye all" option as eso+. So it does have a dye channel but it's hidden from players for some reason, however stuff that affects all the dye channels("dye all", or crown store stamps - which are in essence same "dye all" thingie) works on it.

Idk it's weird. It's in hats but it wears like a facial accessory, however it has that dye channel like a hat would, but it's not visible to us for some reason...

if you use a gold colour and 'dye all' in the last slot of your costume, then just use the single dye option on that slot to get it back to whatever it was before for the costume you should be able to get the wreath back to gold.
