I'd rather have one guild and proper functioning game-wide auction house.

    Five is nowhere near enough.

Guild 1 = Small crafting guild. Joined on 31st March 2014, as an officer.
Guild 2 = Large social guild. Joined on 31st March 2014. Became an officer after a few months, now GM.
Guild 3 = Large trading guild. Joined in June 2014. Not an officer due to lack of time, but I have bidding rights for emergencies.
Guild 4 = Large trading guild with good location. Joined in June 2014. "Senior member", have access to the officer chat.
Guild 5 = Large PvP guild. Joined in early 2016. Ordinary member and very glad to be since I like competent raid leaders who understand tactics and give clear instructions!

I am very loyal to these guilds and talk on the guild chat of each one most days.

I run events with Guild 2 including weekly Trials, even though we're a social guild rather than an endgame PvE guild. The other officers run a Dungeon Help Night and a weekly Raffle. We also have occasional Skyshard runs and competitions. We supply all food and potions during Trials and Dungeon Help so that all members can enjoy the best possible DPS, which means I (along with other officers) also do a lot of farming and Guild Trader running for cheap ingredients. I do voice chat on our Teamspeak every night, except when I'm on Guild 5's.

I attend PvP and PvE events with Guild 5, but am restricted somewhat due to timezone issues, and events clashing with Guild 2 events.

My 9-trait crafter makes free items for people to research for Guilds 1, 2, and 3. I also do free crafting for Guilds 1 & 2 upon request.

I donate items for the Raffles in Guilds 2 and 5. I buy Raffle tickets in Guilds 4 and 5. I donate gold to Guild 3, which does not have a Raffle since its GM thinks they are vulgar.

I took part in the weekly Trivia event in Guild 4 every week until it moved to Mondays - now I usually miss it because I'm not online at the right time. However, I still contribute ideas as much as I can.

I provide Master Merchant sales data to any member of any guild who asks in guild chat, as long as I am available to talk.
e.g. during down-times between dungeons, while waiting for a group member to get back from afk, while farming or doing crafting writs.

All in all, I would say that I do a lot with my guilds. But there is a problem. I can only have 5 guilds.

That means I can't join an endgame PvE guild that would regularly run Veteran Trials. That means I can't join a French guild. My French is atrocious, I learned it at school 25 years ago, but I'm sure it would improve if I was chatting to people in the game in French every day.

The only guild that I could potentially drop is my Guild 1, which would mean rearranging all of my guild numbers. And... I like that Guild 1, you know? Leaving a guild that I've been in as long as the game has existed would be quite emotionally challenging.

I'd be so much happier with an extra slot or two.

Brings-His-Own-Forest - Argonian Warden Healer (Aldmeri Dominion) level 50

I support your cause, even though it doesn't affect me in any way - since I'm only in one guild, and I don't think any other guilds want me. :'(

(not actually sad, I really don't care)

Maybe a event board would settle this issue.

I don't know the need for more makes you question the quality of the guild system. Maybe make guilds have more features.

I would not mind if we could simply port to our make shift guild houses via a icon or something. Sure it only holds up to 24, but it will do.

The first paragraph is just silly. The second paragraph is pointless because it's irrelevant if you quit the guild or not if your really not very available to them because your running with 10 other guilds. Your idea of loyalty because you stay on the roster is fairly weak.

EDIT: The reason your point falls flat is the more guilds players are in the less loyal they are to any of them, or are merely on the roster for all but one. The loyalty is fickle because the player is in it for themselves and basically does not care about any of the guilds, except maybe one. Your statement does not even begin to address that and the comparison made is irrelevant.
@Giles.floydub17_ESO, while I understand and respect where @Bromburak is coming from, your notion that loyalty is so limited is disappointing.

Your first issue is solved by timeslots, something I'm fairly certain most event guilds are using regularly. If you're bailing on one guild to assist another after you've committed, or it's been made known that your assistance is needed, then it's a problem.

It's sad you've had the experiences you've apparently had. I, however, do not just exist on the roster ~ that's kinda the whole point. As an officer or GM, it's well within your right to oust someone you don't feel has the loyalty you require. It should equally be obvious who is active, and who simply exists on the roster.

With the option you provide, I abandon the less active guilds, and the players that can benefit from my assistance or I deny full entry to the more active guilds that can do the same.

Any member of any guild of any size that is not giving back more than they're taking is an issue. As has already been mentioned, this is not the case here.

@Typhoios , personal guilds are more than just bank space, & there is no justifiable reason to abandon one simply to make room for another.

My current setup is my personal guild (there since the beginning), 1 trade guild, and 2 PvE guilds (one that primarily has newer players and primarily 4-man's, one that does a bit of everything, including PvP) and a 3rd PvE guild that I have been with from the start, but time differences prevent as much coordination as was once available. Cutting any of those loose inevitably lets down people I regularly run with, beyond the 100 allotted friends that ZoS also limits.

The misconception is that this is about greed, and perhaps the number suggested is too high. However, at least in my circumstance, I know there is room to do more, and this would allow that to happen more easily than without.

    Limited and disappointing. LOL

And stating you have a personal guild is a fabulous reason why more guild slots should not be made available. Nothing to prevent someone from even having multiple personal guilds. Drop your personal guild and get another guild slot.

Second, your "time slot" point is kinda pointless. It really should be in reverse. The player has the choice to drop a guild and go to another if that is the guild that they prefer or works better for their schedule. It really becomes obvious when two guilds are doing something on the same night. The activity chosen shows the guild where that player should go, or what guild the player should drop.

Yes, the misconception is about greed. Players think the more guilds they are in the more action they will get. Players with that mindset really do not care about the guild and pretty much focus on opportunity for themselves. Great point.

These are the reasons your points fall flat. Also, demonstrates who has and who has not had experience in guild leadership, once again.

    You assume a lot, Giles.

Give up GM of your own guild is your solution to this. That's disappointing.

What a guild you must have to occupy all members 24 hrs a day.

You're against this & that's fine, but the reasons people would benefit are no less valid.

Lol. You've said nothing to suport the desire for more guild slots outside tha the guilds you are in suck and don't come close to meeting your needs. That's basically your stance in a nutshell. Get used to having only 5 slots because you will not get more.
    Really, idk

You should be able to join as many as you want.

Just like alliances in this game, which is useless
Guilds are pretty much in the same boat too.

People don't join them because what they stand for anymore, we join em because LFG system SUCKS, guild trader system SUCKS.

You look at other games... Solo players prefer going guildless, but this game... solo players wanna join ALL the guilds.

I would love to have more guilds on my main account. I have one social guild and 4 trading guilds. I would love to add more AD pvp guilds but have no space. I had to create 2 more accounts to add more guilds. I would much rather have just one account.

I am probably going to drop one due to the fact that i don't want to deal with that many.

I think anymore than 1 is to many.

Lowering it to one would help with the trader system too. You wouldn't have as many trading guilds bidding the the prices so high. With as many people that are playing you should be able to have a guild that can do PvP, PvE and trading anymore.

This might work but increase the items for sale to 250 :)
