Is Shadow Image bugged or am i doing something wrong?

Hi there,
so i started playing mageblade and i have a problem with Shadow Image. I nearly never can port back to it. I am sure that it is up because i casted it maybe 5 sec ago. Also i can see this whit symbol above it's head.
So does it has a range i need to be in to port? Or do i have to see it fully or look at it? nearly every time i recast the spell my char is doing the animation but i don't port...

I do have enough magicka and I'm using the right morph i just dont understand what i'm doing wrong...

Yeh max range. If you to far away it don't work.

Hmm okay anything else? because most of the time in pretty near to it. Maybe incoming damage?
and i know that i can just use it once

When you have a shade out and can port your tool tip icon is blue or whatever instead of (red?)

To add to this: if you go out of range and move back in range it also won't work. The other thing is the Dark Veil passive increases the summon time of the shade but the teleporting "window" is the base shade's duration.

Edit: I should have also added that if you attempt to teleport to the shade after going out of range your NB will still go through the animation and you'll hear the sound affect but nothing will happen.

The shade will be yellow indicating it's currently summoned. It doesn't change color if you teleport to it.

Just tested something when you are in an outpost like nikel and cast it in the middle! of the stairs you cant use it when going all the way up. thats maybe 5M and it cot 38M range

Just took a nice screenshot wich shows exactly what i mean but i do not know how to upload here...

I casted the spell the enemy died and i couldnt use it again in maybe 4seconds also i stand right next to it and i also look at it

I've said it before, they need something done to the icon that let's you know when you are in/out of range. Maybe lit up like an ult lights up when in range and grey when out of range. Very simple fix.

You have to have line of sight to your destination, its the same with any other transport ability (warden portal & other gap closers). So if there is anything between you and it, you cant port to it.

That's not entirely true, you can port between floors in the milegates for instance. Honestly, it just takes some getting used to, once you get a feel for its range and what will/won't work it's pretty fun to use.

It may be pure superstition, but I've always found that jumping towards where the shade is when trying to port adds to the success rate.

the duration is also pretty short, best way is to have a bufftracker so you know when it expires, also the range is relatively short

Are you aiming at a target? Because to both summon and teleport to you have to aim at a target for it to show up.

Other than that no idea

It definitely has more than five meter range, though it does not have 38 meter range. I regularly use shade to teleport from the ground level up to the top level of keep towers which exceeds five meters. Keep in mind if you go out of range and come back in you still won't be able to teleport.

if you are on pc, use Srendarr Buff Tracker addon, it shows the duration of it too

I have something weird on console, wherein as soon as I cast, I automatically teleport... happens maybe 60% of the time. Lag maybe (only pressing the button once)?

guys i know that the buff was up and i also know that i never walked further away you can still see the shadow btw
