What was your favorite DLC / Expansion so far?

For me, I think my favorite has to be Dark Brotherhood or Morrowind.

I miss the huge arena district battles in imperial city, but cause I mostly pvp it's still my number one pick.

Definitely Orsinium for me.

I don't have Morrowind so can't compare to that but Wrothgar is quite sizeable and I quite enjoyed it.

Personally I'm not into thieving or assassination. I think those were well implemented but they don't float my boat. TG's story bored me. It just seemed like a lot of plotting and scheming over nothing terribly important. I own but haven't bothered to play DB yet.

Tel Var stones made PvP interesting and meaningful.
Smart armor sets, not todays bullcraapp
Sewers map was cool.
Imperial City had nice little activities.


Now it is a place for 5-6man groups that farm bosses, and nothing else.

Dark Brotherhood easily. The assassination technique is 100x preferable to random chance pickpocketing. Also, my wife has a thing for random murder sprees, so it's nice that she can now do that and I don't have log onto 10k+ bounties on several characters anymore.

I kinda agree, Imperial city seems to be dead for Molag Bal too and I don't see myself getting that soul shriven skin anymore now.
as for PVP, It's more small scaled groups going at eachother. I remember it being on the PTS and it was crowded.

Dark Brotherhood, I know this dlc has plenty of flaws but the Brotherhood is my favorite group in the Elder Scrolls universe and i just have a soft spot for everything about them. Orsinium was great fun and really enjoyed playing through it, but it just doesnt have that same vibe that the Dark Brotherhood has

But I will enjoy Morrowind one day - I tend to not like any dlc right out the gate but they all grow on me. Completet TG on most characters and now I'm doing DB with most for the lvl. 9 passive.

Same with Orsinium: didn't like it at first but for me it's still the best dlc! I played most on Morrowind on the PTS so haven't really been tempted on going through it on live yet.

Will probably soon but as a late bloomer I have way too much fun learning vTrials these days

ZoS really hit there stride with that zone, DB and MW were both copies of previous zones (with good reason) but were not as good (imho) as ZoS own work on wrothgar, abahs landing was a great city too (if in a crowded zone)

I think the world building team knows there stuff and I hope they get let off their reigns and we get some more original content from them instead of copies of pre existing zones.

I love the Dark Brotherhood mechanics and the return of the kill cam but I would have chosen Orsinium if I could shake the memory of all the game crashing errors anytime you went near the city (or anywhere in the zone sometimes) when it first came out.

They are mostly bad to be honest, people always say their favorite DLC is one of the oldest because they loved the meta of that patch, I can say Thieves Guild is the best but only because PvP was insanely good not the 4 quests stealing apples.

In the other hand Orsinium was very good and in my opinion the only DLC who made me do PvE, the Maelstrom arena was an addiction for many of us when it got released, especially because they weren't many choices back in time and those Maelstrom weapons were so OP compared to the Masters weapons or regular weapons that everyone was farming vMsa.

Orsinium and Morrowind as it added a lot more content and new quests lines.

I didn't even play they thieves guild line yet, as I'm not much in to sneaking around stealing stuff.

IC i haven't even visited.

I wish they would do a DLC that adds a lot more repeatable dailies all over Tamriel. Preferably almost as much as you encounter when you level a character. Lot's of things to do everywhere, even after you completed all the main quests.

Not to say it was the best, I'd probably give that to Orsinium but IC was so cool.
The two dungeons, the sewers, the quest line, the city itself and how it was remade for this game. Loved it

Has to be the Dark Brotherhood.

#1: It's nice to be able to visit a part of Cyrodiil that isn't ravaged by the Alliance War.

#2: It's nice to visit Kvatch and see members of the Imperial Legion who don't immediately want to kill a fellow Imperial as soon as I get 20ft close to one.

#3: Brings back some memories from Oblivion. (Much better than that poor excuse for a zone they called "Cyrodiil". Where are all the trees, the wildlife? Where did Lake Arrius go? Where did all this flat land come from?)

#4: We actually get to visit Kvatch properly. Now that the coin has been flipped it's the Imperial City being besieged by Daedra and set on fire, all thanks to a mad cult lead by a deranged High Elf. (The Mythic Dawn and the Worm Cult appear to have more in common than they may realise.)

#5: Now I can kill without depleting my weapon enchantment... at least on certain NPCs... (Would be nice to throw the Blade of Woe into the back of Queen Ayreen, but at least there's a special animation for her Wood Elf friends that gives them an extra "horn" to add to their forehead... against their will, of course. )

I have to add the qualification: SO FAR.

Because I've only poked around in Morrowind a tiny little bit, have barely begun it. Been waiting for the crowds to die down, and it's not like I don;t already have plenty left to do elsewhere. But what I have seen is wonderful and it may end up being my fave.

That said -- Orsinium is the best I've experienced. Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guid are both good, but Orsinium outshines them all with depth and breadth and beautiful locations. I have Imperial City, but haven't done a damn thing with it yet. HIST I am staying away from, because in no way is it single-player friendly.

Statement of Principle: They don't get my money if I can't play it solo.

That's also my objection to the upcoming HORNS OF THE REACH.

Not much into PvE.. and for PvP, IC didn't do it for me and have always hated timed mini game PvP.

but if I was forced to pick something.. then I would say Orsinium

(although.. since I'm now playing a Warden as main.. Morrowind.. but that's the only thing in that DLC I care about)
