Night blades wil be forever one of the better top pvp classes forever all thx to the Stealth spam they can do and the High burst dmg design they have fromt he devs.....

even if they nerf them to the ground...

like in every single MMO that has a stealth class....

Just ignore him he hates NB.
Personally I think spriggans with Bone pirate will be really good next patch but Hounding Bone pirate with the new bonus to crit and recovery will be really good.

Shadow walker a great open world set Combining that with a new damage set will go a long way.Go Shadow walker jewelry and front bar a damage set could be very meta.

yes got my shadow walker bow before it went up in price :)

hundings and bone pirate sounds goot.. altough u cant use selenes than anymore. i would maybe use 1 pice slimeclaw for the mega crit; or you go dw/2h and that means you rely on speedpotz because of the lack of mayor expediton

You do know sets like Spriggan's and Spinners had their penetration values nerfed pretty significantly....they will still be decent, but not anything close to what they are on live.

I haven't been on PTS but I was told only the 1-4 values of armor penetration was affected so spinners and spriggans were fine can you post a picture for me @RinaldoGandolphi ,Since I mainly play Xbox I don't have all the stuff to properly test anything so saw no point in downloading the new PTS.

I was trying out a 4,1k Wep damage build on PTS. DW/2H bars with 5hundings + 5 Spriggans and 2 Selenes with Warrior Mundus and Nirnhorned traits on weps. Looking forward to using it with medium armor since Wep dmg scales so good with it. Any thoughts about that setup ? In my experience it works out pretty good in CP.

This is simply not true. Neither Spriggan nor Spinners have had their penetration values nerfed. Only the 2-4 bonuses have been changed with respect to penetration values. This is made very clear in the patch notes. And with the nerf to sharpened, I would argue that Spriggan and Spinners will be even more valuable next patch as a great source of penetration.

I think fasallas guile could be awesome too, I know it's heavy (I'm a NB in heavy, I just like heavy armor) and the rings are healthy, but with this health regen getting hit from the defile debuffs I think it could be meta, even for medium armor NB. Yes you would lose stam for health but if your solo, or no one in group using it, this could be big. Just a thought.

I currently use seventh legion and spriggans, I think it will still be good also. But maybe with hundings stats boost it would be better than seventh legion now. Idk. Any thoughts? Cheers.

I've only played a few months, but all of it was Selene / Viper / Widowmaker. PvP rank 18 non-CP, mostly duo'ing with another NB. I switched to Selene / Clever Alchemist / Automaton on live and also tested on PTS. I hit 5.2k buffed / 5.3k in stealth. I think the high weapon damage is a much stronger build. I'm obviously hitting a lot harder, and confirming more kills. I think i'm actually much more of a threat and am not getting salt tells b/c of using a proctard build.

I already switched to Infused MH (Weapon Damage... it's 100% uptime on PTS), w/e OH works with Oblivion and Infused bow with Oblivion. Oblivion is usually my 2nd or 3rd highest damage for a session.

i like your buil. automation is a great set but only buffs your phys dmg. im using alot the jump skill on my nb and this is not phys dmg when i remember correct.

clever alchemist is also nice but the uptime anoyed me when i tested it

im trying on bts right now a dw/2h build. 2 selenes+5 spriggans (2 precize daggers) + bone pirate.

it hits in a cp environment 40k stam and 55% crit. frees up the mundus for shadow

no cp its kinda 34k stam and 45% crit maybe there would be thief than more beneficial

I'm doing 5 Hunding's, 5 Bone Pirate, 1 Pirate Skeleton (Chuden works too).

2H is Nirnhoned with a weapon damage enchant.
Bow is Infused with Oblivion enchant.

    Drink is Dubious Camoran Throne.

Mundus will be Warrior for CP. Serpent for non-CP.

    Any questions?

I really like Hunding's Rage again. It's getting a small buff to both it's max stam (an additional ~129) , and more importantly it's critical chance (an additional ~3.5% crit chance).

I also still like Shadow Walker. It's 5 piece bonus is good if you can make it work (but it's hard to use correctly). You only have to proc the thing once every 14 seconds to exceed the regen that Bone Pirates provides. Of course you also miss out on ~3k max stam, but exchange it for 129 additional WD. But the best part about running Shadow Walker is you can use 2H and still wear a monster set AND a full other 5 piece on the front bar.

For all the 2H stamblades, do you think the 2H maul will now be preferable over the 2H sword to help get back the penetration lost to the sharpened trait? Assuming the heavy armor meta will persist...

    This is my build: http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoBuildEditor?id=19235

I use 'Dressing Room' to switch between a number of sets, but this is my gank bar. All skills and ultimates except for Killers Blade are physical.

The up time on Clever kind of sucks, but I go through dozens of pots in a night even w/o using Clever. I use the Greymind addon for multiple pots because Elder Scrolls games always have the absolute worst UIs I've ever experienced. These are setup as one button hotkeys to switch&activate potions.

-brutality / savagery / stam for gank
-trash PvE stam pots for mid fight or just zerg fights
-immovable magicka / stam recovery for cloak spamming get away's
-stealth pots for the eternal hunt / shadow walker spammer NB's

My other bar is more of a group util with shuffle, rapids, shrouded daggers (brutality). I'm not crazy about shuffle in 1vX.

Incap is good for obvious reasons, but it's also inconsistent. I can anim cancel Dawnbreaker 100% of the time, Incap almost never works. The animation is too long and it's fairly easy to avoid it.

My healing is definitely not the best, but I really don't like to play w/o Purge.

The single target mez (Agony) is a really strong skill. It's rarely used, so almost no one breaks it. I don't run any DOTs, so there is nothing to break the mez if I want to apply mid fight. When I duo with my friend I will call out my mez target (we used to do this in DAoC together), so you can take someone out of a fight with multiples, or at least force them to start at a stamina disadvantage. That skill alone probably net me more kills than anything. When someone is screaming by sprinting on a mount you can mez them, get into range to setup burst and they can't get away. It's also a good ranged interrupt.

Your crit is already going to be decent to be honest; especially if you use crit pots like I do.

That 1 piece is entirely up to you. As to why I chose the pirate skeleton; I don't play the stamblade in a sneaky way whatsoever. I like to play aggressively, and in my opponent's face. Because of this I need to be consciousness about my survivability. Nightblades aren't exactly known for their tankiness, but I help mitigate that by being a Nord, and by gearing for it.

I used to use Troll King, but that's now useless due to the health regen nerf. So I now need to gear for more mitigation without going heavy. 1 pieces like Chuden, and Pirate Skeleton make that possible.

Are you talking about the Defile change? It's only 15% health regen for Minor. I didn't look at Major, but assuming it's 30%. Kind of a non-factor imo. My base health recovery is so low that I don't even care about that aspect of the debuff.

Defile will make that 1500 Troll King come down to 1,000-1,200ish.

Then you have to account CP, and that 1500 regen then starts looking like 750, and I can think of plenty more useful things to equip than Troll King. More resistance, damage, resource manager, you name it.

    Ahh - I've never actually PvP'd in a CP campaign. That's a whole balance I don't really think about.
