Anybody else ever experienced this?

Almost the entire weekend I had the following:

I had 20k health, full impen gear. I run towards enemies and my screen just turns blue (as if your dead) but I have full health. Then I hear an explosion and some crackling sounds and im dead. In death recap I see multiple people attacking me and some sorc skill fure explosion or something as final nail in the coffin.
In combat chat I see a lot of attacks, blocks and stuff.

So this is probably lag, but I experienced this on Friday, Saturday and sunday most of the times. Really annoying especially because my ping was around 120.

PC-EU and I played on Sotha Sil.

Maybe run with 30k health for awhile . I run into friends that get this same complaint and I ask what build they are running and it's usually not their own . Most of them are not the best players but the build was made by a very experienced player that can survive with minimum health builds . I tell them to put their health higher until they get good at the build and then start adding more into stam or mag as their skill with it increases .

Well, I run with 18k health most of the times and never had problems. I know im squishy with my build and all light armor, even in full impenetrable. But my build (melee maglblade) is to attack one guy and get out as soon as possible.

But having 20k full health and have it drop to 0 in less then a second by a load of skills I doubt even more will help. I think it was lag during the weekend. I was hoping someone could verify it.

But maybe I have to rethink my build. Melee magblade is fun but I cannot face multiple people and with all the detection potions flying around it's mostly hard to get away when my initial attack fails. All those roots and snares really ruin my day.

Ping 120 is not that big of a delay so I'm just going from what he reported . If was ping was 300 then I'd say it was lag .

Some players will bomb you with a full rotation in seconds . I build to survive that because some of those rotations will slam down 20k plus dps after crit reductions , especially good Magsorc players . I only run min maxed in a really good group . Dps is high this patch and you can die instantly to a good player even full impen if they crit high enough .

I even tried (I currently use warmaiden 5* and Julianos 5* and a monsterset) wizards riposte + transmution. All that extra protection did nothing to me.

I think I go switch to CP campaign. I tried it last week and felt more powerfull and better in duals then on no-CP.

No cp is brutal lol . Between oblivion enchants , poison and proc sets it is hard to survive on NB if going solo against groups with experience . You have to hunt down solo potatoes to win or you get zerged down hard . Go to CP and your build will probably be fine at 20k health .

Experienced it in BGs, typically it's like 1-2 "normal" moves and then a few GCD ignorers

Like Incap + Frag, SA, Selene Wrath.

I think it's more instant stuff and then slight lag?

I experience that from time to time too. Nice ping but lag and stutter. Strange..

@Chilly-McFreeze maybe it's lag but not because of like the connection, but rather the game takes a moment for calculating? Like maybe you're dead and it's unavoidable and the game just took it's time to inform you? Something like that?

The last couple weeks have been some of the worst performance I've seen from ESO in a good while. My internet and system are decent. 200mb down 20 mb up, ASUS ROG with 16GB RAM and 970 GTX. Not a "beast" but not bad. I usually play on high settings but lately dropped it to medium. Sucks but the game runs better. Also updated GPU drivers. (I think folks forget this alot) It helped for PvP. Especially for when the Zerg suddenly shows up.


I'm not saying you "need" to do these things. I've no idea what you do for settings etc. Just throwing it out there as something to consider.

A decent ping doesn't necessarily mean a lag-free experience.

Could be delay on the server itself, could be graphics performance lag on your side, could be packet-loss in between. But getting the death screen before the sound certainly sounds like some kind of lag.. Perhaps your side? You could try turning down some of your gfx settings to see if it helps

I died morning with: 32K HP 26k + all resist 2k + crit resist ^^^ (and there was no lag)

The NB to vanish when it reappeared I was dead: p (there was a pretty sequence based on Sélène) surely the best NB of the world it is the first one that me on shot
