I have just started this game a few days ago and have encountered two issues.
Sometimes I will be dead when I log in even though I was alive when I logged out.
The dizzying swing ability only stuns and knocks back some of the times. Often it will do nothing.
Is there something I am misunderstanding about the game since I am new or are these legitimate issues?

✭✭✭✭I don't know about your dying on login issue. That sounds really odd. You might need to submit a support ticket in game.
As to Dizzying Swing, everything in the game (enemy mobs, other players) gets 6 seconds of crowd-control immunity after you hit them with a stun/knockback/etc. So enemies that can be knocked back by DS can't be knocked back again for 6 seconds. Some enemies, on the other hand, have complete CC immunity -- usually boss types.7-day PVP campaign regular 2016-2019, Flawless Conqueror. MagDK/stamplar/stamwarden/mageblade. Requiem, Legend, Knights of Daggerfall. Currently retired from the wars; waiting on performance improvements.1
