I agree, thieving can encourage bad behavior.
@ZOS_GinaBruno can you consider upping the drop rates of morrowind furnishings from thieving and take out non dunmer furnishing out of the loot table? Or greatly decrease the rng on breton etc. And consider limiting 7/14 motifs in thieving to their lord appropriate cities (sandrith mora for telvanni, balmora for redoran etc)and please add new dailies for house hlaalu, telvanni, and redoran for the other 7 motif pages

for exemple swords redoran becomes like rarest of them, and u pickpocked one fromm something, you all, happy, u make mistake, get bounty, get caught, lose the motif
sure it will be a mess first days, bbut atleast it makes pickpocketing more excited

Nah, it would be more like:
Youre sneaking around npc, trying to get the best chance to pickpocket and then... Someone kills that npc with blade of woe.
Or:
Youre sneaking around npcs, but they all are <Empty>.
Or:
Youre sneaking in someones house. Oh look, there's a chest over here!.. Already unlocked.
Or:
Oh look! A thieves throve... WIth 1 lockpick.
Thing is, this type of farming is pitting players against each other and encourages scummy behavior. Just like with the chests, people just dont care about looting them, they open them and leave. Or steal them from someone who is already fightng mobs that were guarding the chest.
Farming world boss quests can be a mess, but at least in encourages cooperation and sharing. This... Well, if you already tried to farm Buyoant motif, you know what kind of behavior it encourages. People are very salty, they'd steal chest, not fully loot them, theyd call you names if they see youre also farming, etc.

I agree with you, I don't know how many times I found a chest already opened with one item left and also one time at band camp I was fighting so I can grab the chest and someone runs up and takes it. Another time someone was fighting a train of mobs, I'm there for a quest and they tell me to gtfo cause they were there first.

No, the person remains an "empty" container. I've seen it happen when 2 people were pickpocketing the same NPC, multiple times, as recently as last night.
Please DO kill after empty. NPC will respawn full much faster.
Also, this request is a little hypocritical coming from Santie, who has always gotten defensive in the "please don't leave trash in nodes and chests" threads, insisting she will never take what she doesn't want. :eyeroll:

I agree, we shouldn't be forced to steal, I hate the fact this game wants everyone to be a thief. What happened to it being a MMORPG? Instead of a MMOMSG (Massive multiplayer Online Murder Steal Game)
