Need advice to magicka sorcerer DPS

Hello.
I have problem to build my main character. He is magicka sorcerer. His role is DPS and his race is Redguard (+ he is vampire). I love to charge spell crtical, but I think he is still weak and I'm 507 CP already. I noticed that when I was doing veteran Ruins of Mazzatun with my friends.
His sets are Julianos (5 items), Mother's Sorrow (4 items) and Stormfist (monster set). I want to keep Julianos and Stormfist, but is Mother's Sorrow worth? I used Treasur Hunter -set, but I thought Mother's Sorrow is better. I want to keep his weapons, which are both lightning staves.
I just want advice. I like to have own playstyle, so I won't be like others + I don't like spamming skills. I want to make good combos, what make much damage.

lauykanson✭✭✭few things that you can do to quickly improve dps if haven't done them already
1) replace mother's sorrow set with willpower jewley which can be bought from guild store as well, put gold spell dmg glyph on all of them, that gives you a lot of SD
2) replace stormfist with other monster set like ilambris/grothdarr/skoria, stormfist 1 piece bonus has no use on magsorc
3) dual lightning staff is good, make sure you gold out both of them, it boost dps significantly,
For skills wise some are must have for good dps : liquid lightning / elemental blockade / curse / mages wrath / bound aegis / inner light / destro ulti ...other skills depends on ur play style --> pet/non-pet. I highly recommend slotting both inner light and bound aegis on your main bar since it gives you 15% more magicka will all passives unlocked which also boost your dmg massively.

Morlac90Soul ShrivenMore good advice: change the race. Redguards are solely suited best for stamina damage in their racial passives so your best choices to passively up your damage for a magicka build are Altmer, Breton, and Dunmer in my experience.Edited by Morlac90 on July 8, 2017 9:29AM0

SoLooney✭✭✭✭✭Well you picked a pretty bad race for mag sorc, a redguard. You want high elf, dark elf 2nd choice.
If you want a pet build, get 5 necro, 2 ilambris, 3 moondancer or infall aether. weapons, get moondancer or infall staves and maelstrom staves.
For a non pet build, switch necropotence to netchs touch, boost that shock dmg.
Next get your skills leveled and maxed out. work on a rotation, theres a lot of videos on youtube to help you out0
