What in the world is happening in Betnikh (PS4)?

So, my Aldmeri Dominion character has just started slogging her way through Cadwell's Gold and has gotten to Betnikh in the Daggerfall Alliance map.
I spotted some... really bizarre behavior there on PS4. In the Carved Hills area. There were at least three groups composed of 6-8 low-level sorcerers (talking levels 3 to 8 or so in rags for clothing). They all had Clannfears summoned. And any time a wolf spawned, they were swarmed by this pack of Clannfears like Velociraptors.
None of the players were moving, just staying in place. They'd cast whatever spells of theirs at literally the same time, as if controlled by one person. And they all had names (PSN names and character names) composed of nothing but nonsense words, just letters and numbers thrown together. Like... bots or something.
What I can't figure out is the point. It didn't look like anything was being harvested off these wolves they were killing. What... what was the point of this bizarre bot farming? It was weird. I knew the Orcs had sent me out to the Carved Hills to investigate a cult, but I wasn't expecting to see... well... a "real life" cult, apparently. LMAO

PC is worse because of macros and even cheat engine.
I have however not seen an real bot on PC EU since returning early this year.
I have seen one macro user who used endless hail every 8 second on an dolmen, he was gone then we cleared the dolmen so I guess he was AfK and turned on macro to not miss it but returned before clear.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭Bots (even banned bottling accounts from any time since launch) are probably a significant number of Zeni's "10 million accounts" claim. If they're too aggressive in squashing bots, the bottlers won't keep buying new accounts after being banned, and Zeni won't have those purchases to pad their numbers. We can't have that
