I am playing out of NZ, without any latency problems in pve, at least. I'm in New Zealand, my latency is usually around 250ms in pve zones and 300ms while pvping. A server in southeast Asia would be an idea - that way it'd be in between Oceania and east Asia.Edited by Turbocharged on June 23, 2017 3:38AMEP Stam dk

Seri✭✭✭✭Adelaide here. Used to get 280ish Deshaan and 330ms Cyro back on Internode ADSL. Now on NBN (FTTN via Skymesh) and getting 260ms Deshaan and 310ish Cyro both before and after Morrowind.
I did have issues at one stage with congestion (on both providers) and that really impacted my ability to play. Leaving a ping-test running constantly to a random USA location on my second monitor could easily predict lag spikes - a packet drop or ping increase would often follow with 800+ms spike and rubberbanding in-game (if not a world-freeze + subsequent drop). Back on ADSL this could be caused by anything on my network starting a download (phone or PC updates, music streaming, etc). One week I believe I had congestion at the local exchange as well. On NBN this has only been the few rare cases where my provided was congested locally but fortunately all resolved.EP CP160+ Templar, Sorc, NB

✭✭✭✭✭Every ESO server is in the US (correct me if I'm wrong @ZOS_GinaBruno ), even in the EU where I live with a fiberglass internet-connection, my ping is usally around 100, while a speedtest says I should be around 10 - 15. So it not only you in australia, its all around the globe.
Speed tests don't tell you anything in this case unless you pick a server to ping against in the same region. Find something in Texas to ping on the speed test site and see what you get for NA server. EU server data center is in Frankfurt Germany.Edited by Sigtric on June 23, 2017 5:19AM

Yep exactly the same for me in Canberra too. It plays ok, I do notice when other players have a better latency though. It's kinda doing my head in in vMA though - lag spikes etc.0
