Hi , yes , it's probably a strange question , It's not the case for the moment but i would like to know the answer ^^
Because i want to test the warden and i don't have character place available :/ so I will be obliged to delete my Stam sorc , of course i could buy a new character spot but as I say it's just for
"test "
I also would like to know if I will get back all my stuff ( gear / inventory ) wich are on my stam sorc once recover ( if possible ) ? Because i can't store all my stuff on my bank seeing that i don't have enough place on my bank for this , and i don't want to store this on my other char because i play them all and it's already horrible to be full inventory in a raid / dungeon .

The more time you spend on the forums not asking ZOS for help, possibly the lower probably you won't get your character back...I'd go to the source first - here you're only going to get fake news and theorycrafting about it...

I think there might be a way to get it back if it was an emergency and an accident, support might go out of their way to solve that for you. However, I do not think they will do it if you deleted it on purpose, as lots of people might start doing the same thing, and it would cause a lot of work restoring deleted characters all day :)

He didn't delete his char yet (._. )

No, you can't recover a deleted toon, especially if you deleted it on purpose and not by accident.

Don't delete your sorc if you plan to keep on using it.

I think they can't or wont after you make a new character to take it's place. I can't imagine they would do it to allow you extra storage while you checked to terst another class.

I think zos would take a dim view of you deleting a character and relying on their customer support to help you fix something you did deliberately. Other players who really needed customer support may be pissed to.

Is your testing something that could simply be done on the pts sever? I believe they still give you everything you need to put builds together very quickly, and that won't affect your main game progress.

Finally, if you absolutely have to test on the live server there are examples of zos support being able to restore deleted characters, but I believe it is on a case by case basis. If you decide to delete your sorc then move any valuable gear into storage to play it safe.

P.s. if your inventory management is such a headache you may want to invest in a new character slot just to have another mule to carry gear! It must be a nightmare playing without enough space to carry anything else.

I recommend purchasing an extra character slot for testing purposes.

You can buy another character slot. Two more made available when the last major patch.

    No deletion required.
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

You might regret your decision when you'll have to grind undaunted/pvp skill line/guilds/skyshards on your sorc. XD
Theres no need to delete a fully leveled char when you still have some slots you can buy.

Why not test on PTS? It's much easier cuz you don't have to level or farm for the equipment you want to test.

No. In very rare cases a while ago they'd recovered accounts that have been deleted by mistake, but even that seems to be a thing of the past now.

Its rare that a deleted character can be recovered. I would assume that only works within a very tight time limit anyhow...

Want to test warden-ness? There is always the option to give the Public Test Server a try...

Personally, I did pay for extra character slots for my warden-ness. Even if it was just for a test, I would still keep the character, after all... many of my alts are done for just that reason, to test vampire, or heavy armor battlemage build, or werewolf, etc.

If you're willing to get a character slot and you're not ESO + member, i would say just grab a month instead of just 1500 crown for almost the same price, you'll have 1500 free crowns with ESO + that are exactly the price of a character slot (if already member, maybe just wait till your next month account reset) this will also gives you some more bank space to plus all the advantage of XP gain etc.. for your new Warden.

Do not delete your character (unless you really want it deleted forever). It will be gone, gone, gone, along with everything it was carrying in inventory.

You were describing an attempt to "exploit" (artificially creating a 9th character without paying for a slot - for testing or inventory it really makes no difference) so I don't think ZOS would bring back a deleted character even if they could.

You can create test characters on the PTS client, do you play on PC?

Nope, one of my guildie deleted his main by mistake and they were not able to recover it. The support firmly said they cant do anything.

He was maybe being an ass or he had bad luck and got matched with a lazy worker.

A friend of mine recovered 2 characters, gold, upgrades and even crowns.

I think the support is very good in this game and they really take care of your needs if you take your time to speak with them.

It's rather the other way around : if you are lucky enough to get enough time to speak to a REAL person...

If you're on PC then using the PTS to try out the warden is definitely the best option.

I've heard that Support have, occasionally, restored deleted characters, but I think that's often in the form of an account roll-back where they reset everything to before that character was deleted. It's usually only used if someone hacked into your account and deleted your characters. Even then it can only be done in a very short time period because they don't save backups for long.

It's unlikely they would agree to restore a character you deliberately deleted, especially if it's because you didn't want to pay them for another character slot.
