Honest question about crown Crates should I buy it yes or no

Okay I got 3000 crowns and that's all I'm getting so should I buy 4 wild hunt crates or is it trash? it's either that or I save it for dwemer crown crates or I buy jester costume

The dwemer crates will have robot mounts, and dunmer clothing, many which is revealing for female characters.

No. If you're limiting yourself to 3k crowns, keep them. Save them for things you KNOW you're going to get if you spend. Crown Crates are nothing more than gambling, and the odds are terrible. It's a waste of money.

Crates are worth it if you don't have a lot of pets, costumes, mounts and hats already and want those things, and aren't picky about what you get.
They're not worth it if you've already been collecting those things for the past couple of years, because a lot of the Crate offerings are previous Crown Store items.
Basically, it's a good chance to get discontinued Crown Store stuff you missed, and totally worth it if you're relatively new to the game and don't have a lot of stuff yet.

I'll always recommend skipping gambling and only buying things you know you'll want. Can't do that when it's RNG-based.

Crown Crates are gambling and the odds are poor. To guarantee yourself an apex reward (guarantee by converting everything you get into crown gems), you need to spend ~$120.

Don't. You will most likley not get anything you want. (and since we arn't allowed to extract gems from collectibles you will most likley not get the gems needed either).


Crates are just a way for ZOs to milk people with too much money without actually having to put any effort into it.

If you want something specific from the crates, don't do it.

I've bought heaps of them.

Use them if you want to have some fun and maybe get something special.

If this is a strategic spend, then don't. You'd be better off getting something specific from the store.Personally I would buy a costume that many of your characters could use and then buy some dyes (assuming you don't sub) to add some individuality. Dyes change on a regular basis; I only ever buy the 50s with whatever I have left over.

Don't do it. Unless you know what you are getting into. My friend and I both opened crates the first time they came out. Both of us were looking for one of the 400 gem mounts. Neither of us had it drop. Both of us spent between 100-120 dollars before we had the gems to get the mount we wanted.

So as long as you go in expecting to spend that much you should be fine. Because anything less would be a win. If you aren't ready to spend that much, then I probably wouldn't do it.
