Greetings,
I'm an old ESO player who joined almost two years ago and after waiting a couple of hours of the game downloading, in my haste I chose the NA megaserver because I'm an English speaker and wanted to play with other players who spoke English, without thinking about connectivity consequences. So I began playing and noticed a delay between me performing an action and the server registering it. I looked into it further which led me to find out that Zenimax were facing server issues and these should be fixed in the near future. I became patient and continued playing the game with the hopes of having smooth gameplay one day. Not knowing that each time I progressed through the game, I was digging a deeper grave for myself in not being able to start over in the EU server. It only hit me that the location of the server played a significant role in determining your ping was when I played a game that showed your ping from several locations. I constantly have 300+ ping and occasionally it will become 999 and inevitably disconnects, which is not abnormal considering that NA is 3 times the distance from my location than EU. I'm at the point where starting over in another server is out of the question for me. I quit for sometime due to lack of content and for not getting the optimal experience. I returned as I heard a major expansion has come out. My suggestion is that a feature be put in place that allows players to transfer to a different megaserver in their respective platform. This is not an odd request considering that it is one of the basic features of an MMO and all of the other MMOs that I played do have it. So I ask of Zenimax to not neglect their players that have made a mistake and let it affect their gameplay. I know that these types of threads are in no shortage but I already contacted support and they told me to post it on the forums in order to get the developers' attention.
Thanks,
