Lets talk about the writ store/vendor

Am I one of the very few people who thinks this needs more than the occasional half hearted update? I get some people find it difficult to accumulate enough vouchers in a short period of time and i get there are others who use the vendor solely for their own benefit and not to make and sell the items to those who don't care a jot about crafting, but with each passing week, writs are becoming more useless. There aren't actually many writs that are even worth the mats needed to make 'em. Hell, even 'epic' writs are becoming less attractive due to the amount of purple mats you go through to get 6 useless vouchers. Don't even get me started on the 2 perfect roe writs just to get 10 vouchers. This store needs updated on a near monthly basis, with a bigger influx of new items to justify using around 100k of mats to get around 40 vouchers in some cases. Next to nothing in the store now has a feasible sell on price. The robust humanoid dummies, that's about it.

As for the new centurion robust bad boy, I can only assume that's aimed at those people who run umpteen trials on a regular basis and have a lot of generous guild mates willing to part with their dwemer pieces.

I would just like to have the ability to maybe do writs slightly off of what the request is. Like if it says you would normally get 8 vouchers for making a rubedite cuirass with divines in the outlaw style Seducer for set, and you made a rubedite cuirass with divines, seducer set, but could not do the outlaw style, you would instead get 6 vouchers, or something...

I believe crafting scrolls sell fairly well still? not everyone has all traits researched and certainly not everyone wants to spend real money on crown version of those scrolls, but speeding up research is still pretty nice, so maybe sell that?

So you want to do writs for the crown store instead?

Eh? No... not sure how you got that from either the OP or my reply O.o

I'm saying that there are quite a few combinations of 'requests' on the writs that are just impossible for some of us to complete, or close enough to impossible that it may as well be. My crafter knows almost every trait, minus nirnhoned unfortunately. He also knows every basic style, every rare style, and a good selection of the others. I'm not a master, but pretty close. I have 50's in every skill, and all bought up except the 'make nodes glow' because I can see them just fine.

However, I get writs for like 7 vouchers that require a style I don't know (like Malacath). 7 vouchers is kind of puny, so if I can find that specific chapter on a vendor cool, but not going to spend 5-friggin-thousand crowns for it. Now, we enter another dilemma. I'm on console, so, no add-ons. Sifting through the thousands of motifs on each trader would take days, and I'm hoping to find a single chapter? I literally have fallen asleep from going through the lists trying to find a motif...

So, they either need to add a search bar to the traders, which would be realistic, since if ESO was real life, I could go up to a trader and ask, "Hey, I need potatoes, you happen to have any?" And they would say yes or no, and show me the options for potatoes if they had them.

Or, they need to add some flexibility on writs so that if the crafter makes the item, but slightly off, they get rewarded less vouchers, to the point where if they completely do it wrong, they get nothing. This has nothing to do with the crown store, other than to say that ZOS is gouging the hell out of us on motifs while making it nearly impossible to avoid the crown store due to insanely ridiculous guild trader BS.

Somebody else explain the joke to him and how doing a half *** job isn't acceptable.
