Who else would like BoP to die?

    Nope.

The very best items in the game should be only available to the people who can complete the tasks to do them.

Lets make it that way for ALL items then. Fair is fair.

So you'd be ok that a fresh level 50 could buy all BIS gear?

We shouldn't be able to buy Kuta runes then. I wouldnt call Kutas a rare drop exactly, but you do have to spend a good amount of time harvesting nodes to get them(aside from hirelings). You may get one every hour....you average time for a vMA run once you have all the mechanics down if you do good DPS.

We shouldn't be able to buy Aetherial Dust

We shouldnt be able to buy Perfect Roe

We shouldnt be able to buy Tempering Alloy

All because we didnt "earn" them. You cant have it both ways.

Frankly, BoP is an anti-social feature in game that already has a lot of contradictory anti-social elements to it, despite being labeled an MMO.

But they aren't. Most of the BoP sets are trash, useful only for deconstruction or selling to vendor. Some of the sets are good, and some others might be interesting to test with certain build ideas if it wasn't so boring to obtain them.

Do you really find Magicka Furnace, for example, or Oblivion's Edge etc to be more appealing than Silks of the Sun, Necropotence or Black Rose?

And this sort of BoP/RNG ordeal punishes the hardcore PVE players the most, because they can't even sell all the loot they pick up. It's costly to run trials and the more difficult veteran dungeons, but you get more valuable items from a public dungeon or world boss.

Sure, why not? They already can, depending on what their goal is for the build. Some of the best sets are BoE.

I would love to see it happen, especially as this allows more gold to move around the game and gives players who might not have the guilds or friends to do trials on a regular basis a chance to get sets for things like dungeons or vMSA.

However they need to find a system which still keeps the carrot dangling for those to do the content as well as as stopping sets overflooding the market.

I would love to know what the going price for a Sharpened Maelstrom weapon would be though.

You don't need special sets to complete VMA. I completed it my first time with Twice Born Star (A craftable set), Willpower Jewelry (literally you can buy cheap these days or free), Skoria and random staves. That's also what I wore in Vet trials until I could get better sets and ran Vet dungeons all the time with that setup.

It took me a month to complete VMA but it was all about learning mechanics. If you take that away you take away the satisfaction you get when completing it. I never thought I could complete VMA but one day I dedicated myself to beating it and even though I cried a lot and wanted to give up, I didn't.

This is the same feeling you get when completing Vet trials and more. I cried so hard when I finally beat VMOL after months in there and got my skin. I am the biggest introvert and full of anxiety but I found guilds and friends and completed VMOL and got Emperor because of them. Some of the Bind on Pickups should stay that way with harder content. People who completed that deserve those weapons and shouldn't be bought. I already scoff at people who pay 3Mill for a carry for the Maw Skin.

    As for the original post:

I totally understand the frustration but they shouldn't get rid of BoP. Maybe change the chances a little bit in a favorable manner but not get rid of it completely. I am already glad they let us trade BoP with people in our group because that has helped us farm faster but I have spent so many hours farming still for new sets.

You DONT take away the satisfaction though. The first time I beat say....vRoM(yes I know, vRoM, HM or not is far easier than vMA, but I cant use vMA as an example since you cant get the weapons any other way), I was happy. The fact that someone can buy Chudan's Visage from the PvP vendor changes nothing about that old accomplishment of mine. The fact that they bought the helm instead of farming it means nothing to me....it doesnt change the fact that that person didnt farm it, they STILL dont have the achievement, they still didnt do the content. If you want some item for achievement sake make it something like the Dro Mathra skin in vMOL...or the Amber Daub/Spiderkith skins...make it a mount, etc etc. Just dont make it something that is considered(rightly or not) BiS for some build or another.

I build custom cars as one of my hobbies. In this hobby there are two types of cars....cars that the owner built and cars that the owner bought. Anyone can buy a car, even one someone else built. When you get together for a meet you are always asking if they built or bought this car. People who bought the car are afforded a lot less respect than someone who built the car. Everyone understands than not everyone has the skill needed to build cars and no one begrudges anyone else the desire to own one of these cars...but the fact remains, the person who built the car will invariably get more respect. When I go to these meets, the car itself doesn't matter to me nearly as much as the effort the owner put into it.

I spent well over 2 months with a minimum of 1 run a day trying to get my last piece of bsw.

Then ZOS nerfs bsw. So alcast makes a netch build. So now I get to spend the next two months farming dark shades. Because if you want to run end game content on a regular basis, you need to run with endgame guilds. And if you want to run with them then you are required to have BIS gear.

Of course I also like to pvp and with no cp I need regen gear. so I also need to farm CoH for litch. But is that better than plasm since I have no stam regen either? Guess I'll have to farm mazzatun too just to find out.

So all I "want" to do is pvp and trials. Maybe play some vvardenfel. All I "get" to do is farm the same crappy dungeonsover and over and over again for the gear.

I felt the same way, but I have a life, wife, kids and a business to run. I can't spend time farming gear if I ever want to PvP. Finally, I said screw farming and get all my gear from vendors using tel var, AP or gold.

Using readily available or crafted sets you can still make some great builds. Don't listen to the PvE-for-a-living video bloggers. Alcast has a recent video where he is surprised by Willpower doing more dps than the Moondancer set he's been telling everyone to farm.

Look at the traits, bonuses, and mix and match to get your buffs and debuffs. Do the math and you'll do great in PvP. Vicious Death is still mad DPS but who ever puts it in their build vid?? If my DK dies it is usually by VD!

Plus if you spend all your time playing in dungeons a regular PvPer is gonna kick your butt and send you crying back to some hole in the ground to farm another set that will supposedly make you gud. Some players always have another set to farm... it never ends... don't be scared to die you little dungeon rats!!

I would love BoP to drop and i would like to be able to buy all game weapons from Mournhold's merchant at affrotable price,s lower than 268 g each pieces.... while being at asking for easy to get stuff. So first time i start a new toon he gets already end game gear so i can kick lvl 3 mobs asses so much.

And considering that gear loot scales to character level, do you really think somebody will be posting LEVEL 3 vma weapons, monster sets, etc. for sale? Really?

      -plausibility check-

      Got your sarcasm, though.
