The Warden -- Fun [fuhn] noun 1. enjoyment, amusement, or lighthearted pleasure. (Positive thread)

Here's the definition of the word fun i found.

1. enjoyment, amusement, or lighthearted pleasure.
"the children were having fun in the play area"
synonymsenjoyment, entertainment, amusement, pleasure....

Why i pasted this definition out? Because sometimes, we forgot what a game is for, having fun, all we get to care about now is, NUMBERS, NUMBERS and NUMBERS! Yep like most of al of us, i went down that dangerous pathway when i got into MMOS back then with GW decades ago, and ended up addicted to the infamous DPS Charts since then, so i made this thread out for those who loves their Warden class, and play it to have fun, fun like we had as kids and didn't cared about the adult responsabilities :P , not to get some negatives readings we read and already told in dozen of threads from people that only cares about the numbers.

Yep it's DPS is not the best, but i don't care andit's been mentionned often of times, when i want so, i play my other classes that does the numbers, but are not necessarely, fun to play, but just repetitive 2-3 skills rotations, but even though, in most pugs i go or what ever, i still keep on the most damage %, good enough, but more than all, it's so fun to play. But the Warden, i love it, this is actualy my first time since i play the game since it launches, that i create two toons of the same class, Pure healer and a DPS now. I love it, skills are fun, my problem with the warden as much as Healer and DPS toons is, i don't know which skills to sloot, ot should i say, which one not to slot, i love them all mostly and all cool. That's why i dont use anyone build, i wanted t create my own, because i want the Warden'S skills, not generals skill lines tree to get just some numbers and only use 2 classes skills and ended up with a build that looks like all other toons becuause they all use the same ones, i actualy always try to create my own build because of that, i try to use most each classes skills on my toons, to actualy kepe in mind the FUN fact.

So i made this thread for those few left, that actualy love playing a toon and have fun, or simply like reading threads with positives point in it, please, try to keep all the little whining about the numbers in those dedicated posts. :)

So in other words, i love my Magika Healer and Magika DPS, what can i say, i love growing plants and bringing my own personal zoo where ever i go. :)

Well, I do love warden. It's super fun and has a lot of really cool abilities. Despite the fact that paid class is absolute garbage, I still like to do quests when playing as warden. I just don't take it into end-game content and don't ruin other people's experience.

Khajiit has hired a warden as an apprentice. She is presently at level 3 of her training yes.

The thing khajiit she notices mostly about wardens, not necessarily her own, is the bears.

Oh look at that beautiful view of a mushroom - or look at that bears backside which has appeared and blocks the beautiful view.

These tomb urns - Khajiit will loot them - or she will instead try and guess where they are because a large ursine posterior is now blocking the view yes. Oh look now there are two of them. Double the grizzly cheeks.

In the bank - conducting business - great big furry buttocks appear in front of the teller.

In conclusion yes when thinking about purchasing a pet please consider getting one that does not spend much of its life with its behind in close proximity to the whiskers of innocent bystanders yes.

I love the Warden! I do hope I can buy Morrowind soon for a very low price. Morrowind sucks, except the Warden class. It's the only thing I would pay for. I do hope they sell it seperatly, for like €5-15. I would even subscribe once, if it means I get to perma-unlock it.

Animals, ice, and flowers, I want this class!

How Rude :P Camel are supposed to be nice creatures, Bear, rudes :)

But to be honest, i can presume the massive numbers of bears can be annoying for some, goot thing in this game though, Players, NPC doesn't gives in Line of Sight issue, even when troops of people are gathered around and NPC or something, by mouse overing the zone, you can still interact, versus a, i'm not gonna mention the game, but when someone stood in front of you or on an item, you couldn't click it, as you got line of sight because of him :P

I play a Bosmer stam warden sword and shield and I love it. I can't say I've gotten very far with her since I just bought Morrowind and it's been a very rough week but she is level 10 and I am really liking the bear with SS and some heal skills. Not bad at all. And I absolutely don't care about numbers.

My warden is a lot of fun to play, kind of a cross between my Templar and my Sorc feeling.

I don't wanna turn this thread on this subjet, that is not the point of it, but i would be curious to do a 4 men with you and see how my garbage Warden falls way behind your best end-game DPS toon, just to see how much it sucks. :) since in most Pugs i go i ended up always being on 45-50% total dmg done or 34% the few times i went in one and eveyone was dpsing, so it's not a good reference so far because i guess they are all bad players with best ingame DPS classes.

In most pugs I end up with 80-90% of group dps, so this doesn't prove anything.
You can check dps test on youtube though. In fairly even conditions magwarden falls far behind in terms of dps.

Don't get me wrong. I think casual gamers won't have as much fun on any other class, than warden. And most people don't mind to carry groups through even veteran dungeons. It's just that when you're doing vMoL, you don't want any magwardens as your damage dealers.

Understandably a hard thing to gauge this early though.

I'm not sure which to play either....I'm only level 20 on both, but right now my warden kills much, much faster than my DK. Both are magicka, both in 5 heavy 2 light, both using sword and shield, and it's mainly because of the Shalk aoe that hits like a truck.

I am loving my magicka warden and i dont understand all the dps problems people are complaining about. It has great aoe and single target damage. Im still trying to work out a good combo of shields and heals for survivability, but other than that it wrecks everything in its path unless i get zerged down or stand in stupid(red circles) for too long. Being a high elf vamp really burns, wish i went dark elf for that extra fire resistance.

  • connectedb16_ESO
Warden seem to be more of a spellcaster with a pet after looking at the skill line.

I would probably make one if it was more of a beastmaster type of class with some buffs and stamina skills like the white lion in warhammer online, not that the class was well made in any stretch of imagination but I like the idea.

Well there is time I might test it anyway but that was what I was hoping for.

Honestly, in my experience DK's are slow to burn, but once they do finally get started they are great. I didn't enjoy my stam or mag dk until mid 30ies but at that point it took off and was incredibly fun.

Warden is the opposite it started off good but didn't grow much for me at all past the initial 10-15 levels, everything i was looking forward too i had already gotten.

I'm sorry, but what a ridiculous thread. Fun is subjective. No definition found online can somehow say something objective about what fun is to people. For some people, fun means to compete with orher people. To achieve things. Fulfillment. For others, it might mean something else.

Why are you trying to decide for other what fun means? Why dedicate an entire thread to this. It is useless.
