I've just been wondering why motifs and traits cannot be account wide at this time in the game it would really help everyone to be honest, and I know all about the so called "Increased chances" you gain for collecting master writs but face it, they don't work at all I haven't received a single master writ in well over a month on my main crafter with every motif learned besides Armiger which counts towards a master writ and now about 5 traits away from being a full 9 traiter.

This would actually help the crown store sales for the research timers as well to be fair, even though it will cut into profit for other characters it will gain alot more incentive to those that do not have them yet and will most likely finally buy them from the store.

Due to way master writs are supposed to work this gives an advantage to those already 9 trait crafters. Also would eventually devalue writ vouchers as more people become 9 trait crafters quicker than normal.

I don't see why you need them on all characters - isn't one crafter enough?

It is only since Homestead that motif and trait knowledge on Alts has any effect and the benefits aren't really that good anyway.

P.S. I'll just add that I had a 9 and an 8 trait crafter when Homestead dropped.

Not really I haven't received a master writ in well over a month on my main crafter with everything learned already.

Crown anything should be account wide but ingame stuff makes sense to be character bound

Research traits....well the items crafted are account bound so....

At the absolute minimum, crown-purchased motifs should be account wide. Especially when you have a limited time motif of great cost that's crown store only, there's no reason not to unlock it on every character.

Not correct - crafted items are only account bound once they have been equipped.

Being so close to trait 9 I wanna be an ass and say no. If I was at trait 1 I'll say yes.

The only way this would make sense is if you could only do writs on one character on your account.

If you want to do writs on 9 characters on the account, then for the same reason that craft-skill levels are character specific, so should traits and motifs be.

With regards to crown motifs? Never should have been in the crown store. Not. Ever.

    ??????

Trait items, right not set crafted items. Thought we were discussing traits. I should've said not account bound but account accessible.
