I've done more Mount riding than I have the actual content so far in the storyline. Yes, the map may be bigger than orsinium, but most of the map is just filler with no actual real content.

you would think they would at least add more resource nodes in between keeps just to have something to do along the way from fight to fight..

One of my biggest complaints with the entire TES franchise is that it feels like I can't go three steps without getting into another fight. God forbid the world actually feel like a livable world.

There's plenty of content in the quest hubs. The Sadrith Mora and Balmora questlines each can sustain quite a bit of your time.

I hardly ever use my mounts, too much harvesting, lorebooks and other exploring to be done!

However, I can just imagine the reaction if there was no need to ride a mount anywhere - it would be roughly along the lines of "WTF why is the new zone so small I can run everywhere?" !

There are enough resource nodes between keeps that Crown regularly chews me out for being a slowpoke.

OP: I love the zone. It has the same vastness feel that Morrowind had. I spent a couple of hours running around the first day just discovering everything.

And consider that you have wayshrines, boats and silt-striders to get around to different places. Once you get used to that, the map will get much smaller.

With an warden you will spend a lot time riding as your horse is idiotic slow.

Well don't have it yet but I agree a major encounter every 10 yrds is one of the few thing I dislike about eso

That's correct. The design is very bad. Wrothgar had the same issues.

EVERYTHING that you do after finishing one-time quests is far from from wayshrines. All dailies + where you turn them in, all world bosses(guess that was implied by dailies). Way WAY too much riding that we are forced to do. For example, why not put an Ald'run wayshrine, you know, in Ald'run. Next to Skar and tents with the dailies. Why make us run so much with vivec dailies and to turn them in? Why not have those NPC be optional with their dialogues, but people who give us dailies can also give rewards for them? They are close to each other and to a wayshrine. Why make us do dailies so far from wayshrines?

It's wrothgar all over again, where everything replayable is far from portals. Every WB and the delve daily required tons of running. Heck, even the questgivers where far. Why not put a WS closer or in Morkul?

Rhetoric questions. That's how they are getting the 30 hours of gameplay they promised, I guess.

Even the massive Cyrodiil rides wouldn't bother me so much EXCEPT for the constant slow-downs & jerkiness of the riding. When you wipe at a keep & really need to get back there fast, these slow downs are infuriating !#!@$!@#!@#!$!

Cyrodiil would surely have to beat it.

My first trip into Cyrodiil was before I owned a horse. On my DC character and I accepted a scouting mission for a resource at Brindle or Roebuck. Ran all the way there on foot and got killed by the guards before I could write the report.....
