Morrowind is overheating my xbox

Weird thing 20 minutes into playing my xbox one s randomly turned off.

When i turned it back on it said the system shuts down when its ventilation is being blocked but my xbox sits on hard surface in a open area so i know its not that.

Boy this expansion is HOTTTTTTTT

Anyone else have this happen to em?

Canned air in your vents, check the power brick vents as well.

Ya i touched the xbox it was really hot this has never happened with my xbox one s

What the temp in the place you are playing i would not even turn my old 360 on in the summer unless i had the ac on
not sure if xbox one has same problems

After the Homestead update I noticed my Xbox One Fan speeding up and down a lot when playing ESO. I don't doubt that this update could cause another fluctuation...but, as a preventative measure back then, I took an extra USB laptop cooling pad and placed it under my Xbox. It may or may not be helping but it's better than nothing. Only drawback is its always on, even when I power down the Xbox, so I have to manually unplug it or it gets annoying. I also try to wipe down and vacuum the vents on the unit and power supply often.

......game got sluggish.....after playing for 30 mins during lunch and dash was really sluggish.

My system is fully vented not laying on its side. Make sure no other devices are blowing air near it....I wouldn't think anything of it but when I read this thread....I went and touched mine and it's cool.

Wonder how long you've had your Xbox one s and if they collect dust that needs cleaning.
Shrug....or just blame ZOS as that may be more accurate. IDK

Should help even if the xbox fan is far more powerful than an laptop fan.
If the console has been in dusty environment, or done stuff like inhaled cat parts the fins are less effective and the fan has to run faster.

Get a labtop cooling pad and put your xbox on that. worked for mine....

Until i got a pc.
