Applying Morrowind Collectors Edition Code to Morrowind Base Game

I just had a quick question about morrowind upgrades. I pre-ordered a physical copy of the Morrowind Collectors Edition for PC through Walmart.com. Two days ago they cancelled my pre-order, unable to fill the amount of orders they received is my guess. I found another place to order the physical copy of the collectors edition through. The only issue is it wont arrive until June 12th. I don't want to lose access to Morrowind content, I've been quite enjoying it. If I purchase a digital upgrade of the base Morrowind edition to use until my Collectors edition arrives, will I then be able to apply the collectors edition to my account? Is there a better way I should be going about this?

If you buy the Digital Upgrade, then once your Morrowind arrives, you essentially have a second copy of the game. Nice if you want that. Or, once your CE arrives you can leave it unpacked and pristine if that is your thing to do.

As for re-applying another physical purchase receipt, not sure how helpful that would be. You have a 2 day grace period, so that is the 8th before your locked out if you don't enter your code. So you really only lose Sunday and some part (all? of Saturday). I have no idea what time this will take place on Saturday.

I understood the 2 day grace period being from the 6th to the 8th?

I was wondering if I purchased the regular, non-CE digital upgrade? Would I then be able to apply the CE code for the extra items? I also understood the two day grace to be from the 6th to the 8th? Maybe I would just be better off purchasing the CE digital edition upgrade at this point. I wanted the physical extras, not sure if it's worth the extra money and hassle now.

I'm sorry I can't give you any better advice - I'm not really sure how this will be handled once the registration lapses so to speak. I'd like to think that worst case scenario you don't get to play for 4 days (8th-12th), most likely it will only be the new content (but would the warden character just be locked?) ...

Personally if my shipment was delayed (I have no confirmation so far, so I hope no news is good news) I would just wait. For me the appeal is less in the extra digital items (although some are great).

    Good luck!
