Some stupid questions about playing ESO as solo

Hi,

I took part in the original ESO beta, but didn't like some things related to ESO, so i haven't played it since.
Because i'm an old "Morrowindist", i'm of course interested about ESO Morrowind. But there are still some features in there that really *** me off.
Before even trying (and buying) ESO Morrowind, i'd like to get answers to some questions:

1. It seems that you can play ESO Morrowind in first person? I deeply hate third person and would use it only when for instance riding a horse.
2. Is it possible to not view other players? I've just looked at some videos, but it is really irritating (at least for me) that when you are trying to solve a puzzle
for instance. there are all the time ten other players pulling and pushing the same levers and running across the same area.
3. The combat system looks like it would be from some 20 years old game. I mean those hit points in the air and the way your enemy is surrounded by a red border.
Can those features be somehow turned off?

    1. You can play the entire game in first person if you want, its always been like this.

    2. Other players are there, period. Its an mmo after all.

    3. Yes you can turn those off in the settings, players just prefer them cause it makes it easier to target hostiles and see how much damage their attacks do.

    1. Yes/No. While it offers a lot there are parts of the game where you'll have to move the camera. Some puzzles or encounters due to the environments but you can do prob 90% of the solo-able things in first person.
    2. No, the game requires that you play on the mega server
    3. Yes as well as turning off or adjusting other items like highlighting the NPC, the red circles or vectors, and if on pc you can turn off the entire user interface if so desired.

    1. You can play in 1st person, and I did so for about a year after launch. However, there is tactical combat information that is just better when in 3rd person. It is there in 1st person, but it is conveyed better in 3rd. In this game, area of effect attacks have a red border on the ground, which is a lot easier to see in 3rd person. The attackers move around a lot, including behind you, and this is much easier to follow when using 3rd person. I have changed to 3rd person exclusively, for this game. I still play games like Fallout and TES in 1st person.

    2. As has been said, you will see other players. Other players will be killing monsters and doing the same quests, independently of you. You will need to solve your own puzzles, but others might be around while you are doing it. Monsters are shared by everyone who participates in killing the monster, and people can kill monsters you are fighting with. Stuff that is picked up, which might be sitting out, or in some container or bit of furniture, is all first come, first served. This is a multiplayer game, not a solo game, so some give and take is necessary to accommodate other players.

    3. Floating combat text and target glow can be turned off. I would suggest leaving the red border (target glow) turned on as it really helps.

To change your view into first person there are two ways:
    1. Scroll all the way "in" (or up) until your view is first person
    2. Press the "v" key to pop in and out of first person as you want
These are with the default keyboard and mouse setups.
    Best,

You'd probably be better off not playing tbh and just play skyrim.

Or, put those things behind you and enjoy the greatness that is eso
