I was pleasantly surprised when I got the in-game mail but unfortunately you can use it (yet). What a tease .... ;-)

You can't have it follow you yet, but you can place it in your homes which allows you to see how it looks. It's about the size of the in-game scribs, so it's quite large.

I have just received the mail (ps4 too) and can use the scrib. It's following me just now.

Actually, I just tried it, and you can use it like a normal pet. The "Currently not obtainable" will probably get updated on Tuesday.
