Defiler Set's Hunger not doing correct damage

Wanted to try the set out, and immediately noticed the Hunger that spawns was barely doing any damage to PvE enemies. Like 1-2k damage. My dual wield light attacks are doing more damage at this point.
I went into a duel with a guild mate just to see what the damage done would be to him, and it was basically doing the same thing, 1-2k damage. Had him down to 3k health, the Hunger procs, and it barely damaged him; he should have been ko'd, even factoring in a 1/2 damage penalty.
I was running purple jewelry and a gold belt + gold mace (sharpened). The tool tip description states the Hunger should be doing nearly 8k damage, but in reality it's barely doing 2k.
Please fix. And maybe extend it's time by 5 seconds? It's animation to spew, takes too long for anything that's NOT immediately in front of you and not moving. Basically, if it takes a couple steps to get to the enemy, that starts the spewing animation (the bubble grows on it's back), it'll disappear half way through the animation. Seriously, do you guys even play your games? Why bother?
