Is Scattling Mage set good for MagNB DPS destro/resto build?

Hi guys,

I am a casual player (I play only few times a week), so I thought that the DLC dungeons are a no-go for me (as they are more difficult than the other dungs), but yesterday I did the Imperial City Prison dung with a good group and it was pretty easy, so I was thinking about this set.

Is Scattling Mage set good for MagNB DPS destro/resto build?
The fifth bonus says "When you deal direct Critical Damage, you have a 20% chance to increase your Spell Damage by 516. This effect can occur once every 6 seconds."

What does it mean direct Crit Damage? Direct, does it mean with melee weapons, or also with NB skills and destro staff?

My skill bars are following:
destro bar: Lotus fan, Merciless resolve, Impale, Destructive Clench, Structured entrophy, destro ulti
resto bar: Funnel health, Sap essence, Dark cloak, Mutagen, Healing springs, ulti Incapacitating strike

edit: my crit damage is about 30%

Direct damage means anything else except dots. Like force pulse, twisting path, concealed weapon, lotus fan (first initial damage) count as direct damage. Crippling grasp not.
