Hey everyone ! I am so happy to complete this trial with my guild . It was such a challenge . It took so much practice , theorycrafting , time and money . You can find the
guild webpage here .
I must say , I didn't play very good in this video but will get better each day . That death was completely because of panic , I knew I wouldn't get heals during the Flamethrower and popped Magma much before it started . Should have waited for the actual attack ^^
A request for ZOS , please fix the Guard animation bug . I didn't had Guard on friend most of the time because I thought it was on

And btw , this place is amazing . I had so much fun so thank you so much . I think we needed this after years of running same old trials ^^
I would like to drop some thoughts on tanking in this trial for other tanks out there who might find it useful

- In general , I really want to congratulate ZOS because they said something like ''we want tanks to time their blocks instead of perma-blocking'' and they actually did it . You still can perma-block but it will only make you feel like a useless brick and will punish your stamina more , especially after nerfs to sustain . How do I know , because I perma-blocked on my first few tries on every boss as well . Bosses are easy to read but punish badly if you do a mistake . If it is your first try on a boss fight , just drop your block and learn which attack does how much damage . Look if they are AOE based or not . Learn about attacks
- About Red CP tree , you should spend it all around . There are DoTs , direct hits , physical and elemental attacks etc. So basically , you just can't spend all points into one passive and expect to be better . For example on 4th boss , there is a big Flame DoT and big direct attack which does Physical damage .
- You really need to be fast on your feet . There have been fights I even tried using gap-closers . You need to move to a location from another location really fast .
- You might need certain skills or potions that gives you CC immunity . Heavy Armor skill , Mist Form or Immovable potions can work . As a Stage 4 vampire , I went with Mist Form until we started to be comfortable with a certain mechanic . I highly recommend keeping a skill with same effect on your back bar while tanking 4th boss .
- Direct hits I mentioned hits really hard . They do not one-shot you mostly but there have been times that I got hit by 30k+ through block . I highly recommend putting some points into Thumbling and roll dodge those attacks . It will reduce the pressure on healer by a huge amount .
- Do not be scared of bosses . Their standart light attacks barely tickle . As I said before , they are easy to read but punish hard if you do a mistake . Sometimes , they punish your teammates when you do a mistake . So , it is not only your life but also your teammates' .
- Trash fights are easy but you need to position yourself very carefully in order to protect your group . There are some nasty 2handers that will do a cone AOE attack which might one-shot your teammates .
- Fights are very mechanic based . Whatever you are doing , stop and execute the mechanic as soon as possible . Even a slightest delay in required movement of boss can cause a wipe .
- You can resurrect . As I said , bosses barely scratch you with their normal attacks . You can face tank them while ressing your friends . Just make sure to block/roll dodge heavy hits .
- Enable in-game Debuff Tracker . I must say , I am so glad this is a thing now . You can clearly see how many stacks of debuffs are on you and how long they will last . This thing saved my life many times and I believe it will save yours too .
- Call out mechanics ! Sometimes you will be taking boss out of group while they are focusing on other stuff . Boss you are holding can do some attacks that will damage and kill your mates if not avoided . Calling them out quickly and clear can help your teammates a lot .
- Make sure you don't spend your resources until they are dry . Always keep them above a certain value . You might have to taunt some add or roll dodge an attack without having time to get resources .
- Always keep the communication sound and clear with other tank . I think this is the most important advice I can give . Speak . Make sure you hear each other , otherwise it will cause deaths and maybe wipes .
Hope these will help my fellow tank friends out there and good luck to other guilds running this trial !
