My Xbox was stolen and my dad can't remember anything on my old Xbox account as I was a kid when I got it and he created it. How can I link my account to my new Xbox btag?

    Post this over in tech support and ask. I think it might be possible, but don't quote me on that. Also, file a ticket.

    From your sig, you weren't very far into the game anyway, almost no loss.

    Unfortunately the likely answer is that you'll need to start over.

    Having dealt with something similar through the Microsoft side, I can tell you that they keep very minimal information about the games played and what was done in them anywhere other than on your console or in the cloud storage tied specifically to that gamertag.

    On the ESO side of things, there is very very likely no way they could link your new account to your old one as the game data is again tied specifically to that gamertag and nothing else. The xbox live system simply isn't designed to allow one gamertag to proxy another.

    Not only is this unlikely due to technical restricstions, the fact that you can not provide any of the account info from your old gamertag means you essentially have no way to prove that it was in fact yours. So even if it is technically possible, they would be risking possibly handing you access to someone else's account.

    So long story short, I recommend you set up your new account (make sure to save that login info somewhere

    2. Follow their instructions
    3. Follow account link instructions

    Your console has nothing to do with your info. If it was stolen just put your existing profile on the new system and change your info so it wipes from other consoles.

    Again call Xbox support for all this

    DO nOT create a new account from scratch

    This sounds like a good time to create your own account and write down the password in a email account.

    Your dad should only need the email he used to sign up to reset the password tho.

    My PC gets stolen, I just go to the website, change my info and download the game again.

    and yes...I do have a current backup. :)

    Sounds awful, was a lot of other stuff stolen? Having your place broken into can be awful. So sorry. It's possible your dad is really shaken up right now if there was a break-in, I expect getting you back into ESO is the least of his concerns.

    No I'm being very serious.

    Do NOT CREAte a new gametag. . Instead call support because they know their name, address, bank info, etc and it's all tied here as well as console registration, etc.
