So...have to vent now by writing an angry thread and then going outside after this.
Random vet queue for the daily xp bonus, its veteran tempest island.
Everyone is atleast lvl 50 and i the tank move out.
All npcs die quickly and not a single team death ... yet.

Maormer are dying left and right and neither lighting wizard npcs or even a storm atronauch are dangerous to us.
We reach the last boss and then everything felt into pieces.
First the rather low cp dps get oneshooted by a charge attack, then the max cp dps gets charged to death. Boss is taunted by me and rarely charges us, maybe once in 30 seconds to wake up the dps from their routine. I try to revive people, but the boss charge interrupts me or a random tornado bumbs into me, cancelling the revive. The healer got the same problems when reviving them.
I slowly get annoyed by the dying dps and look at them and behold, neither the new guy or the "veteran" block or dodge. The healer is in the same health range
as them and died only once in 10 minutes. At some point one them yells at the healer for heals, but even the greatest templar healer can't heal oneshoots (and stupidty).
After around 20 deaths of both dpses each, i get kicked from the servers since morrowind killed most of the server hamsters.

I relog but the healer and max cp dps are gone. Just the low cp guy remains and smiles at me, i don't even want to ask what happened to the leavers.
I try to reinvite people and like the dps before, they die over and over again by ignoring all movements of the boss. Finally a solid warden healer with somewhat good dps joins.
The dps in the meantime, die and die over again. No amount of boss taunting can protect from a random charge which a single block can stop easily. When you finally manage to revive one of them in between boss charges and tornados, they choose the revive when the boss cast a huge red ground aoe, oneshooting them 1 second after their revive.
Finally the boss is slain by me and the warden healer and i just ask me, why do dps love the red grounds.

Doesn't the tutorial teach how to block and roll dodge? How can a cp 630 with monster helmet fail to use both?
Did we tanks with our taunting spoil them to much in boss fights where bosses lack aoe and random targetting attacks like all the previous bosses in said tempest dungeon?

Edit:
There are around 15 answers about the charge, i get it , i get it. I know the rest of the mechanics, i just assumed the charge if random against all people who are too far away, not that it targets the furthest away.
And i did try to talk the dps, no chance.

The charge is a random thing off your agro as a tank, same with vet spindle I, vet banished I and II, vet fungal II, and others. If you are a DK tank you can carry them with igneous, usually enough to keep them alive, blocking of course works if they are not ***, as to shields that every magicka class can get from light armor, stamina and RD it. I think for that particular charge you have to be far enough away from the boss to be charged, if you get up on her rear it doesn't happen, but the cyclones will be annoying with a stacked party.

I have been queing for vet white gold tower and vet vaults of madness for three days in a row. I've come across many great player insane dps. Beautiful tanking and have completed it every time without much error. Decent communication and a willingness to share all the loots.

I've gotten all my best in slot healer gear over three days of mostly constant farming. Its been amazing and I Couldent be happier!!!!

Thank you to all the random I met that have shared such a fun experience and helped me to be the best healer I can!!!

How dare you to come into this thread of frustation and anger with your happiness. May all your loot be prosperous and training today.

Lol we just see so much negativity! Its just like the news all the tragic stories get told but where is the joy and good news!

I've rarely has issues with GF and often queue for dungeons in GF for the experience of playing with randoms.

I've often been with groups that had never cleared the vet dungeon we were in. I explain the fights and we move on.

Yes ,I've been with a small number of groups that could not clear the dungeon. Three to far. But I've never found it so much an issue that I needed to create a thread on the subject.
    Really, idk

Avoiding her aoe is heaps easier than her charge, not to mention it's generally preferable to not have the boss jump all over randomly because most of people's dps comes from ground based dots these days usually. She kinda hunches over and slooooowly does that expanding aoe, giving you plenty of warning. Now when people consistently manage to fail that rolldodge 20/20 times in a row, yup there's an issue, seen it so many times :D I'd recommend standing closer to the outside of her aoe(unless melee) or better yet, JUST out of it, then you're safe/easy enough to get out. Whirlwinds can be a real pain there though, unavoidable cc pushing you into aoe is not very fun.

My last idiot pug story features vet WGT as a healer with a friend, first we got a tank who had 120 cp and 17k health...ran in and died to mobs while standing in my Springs(note that 2 other squishy dps did not)...
Me: Xxxxx, you aren't actually a tank, are you?
*Xxxxx runs into the big atro boss and manages to die within 5 seconds, after which we wipe because he hits too hard with no one to hold agro, plus that cc*
    *Xxxxx stays silent*
My friend: The answer is nope
    Me: Kick?
*Xxxxx stays silent, stubbornly pulling the atro again, causing another wipe*
    *kicked*
5 mins later groupfinder finds us another tank, woot.

Me:Hi Yyyyy! Please tell me you're an actual tank with >20k health xD
    *Yyyyy drops the group*
Me: ...well I suppose that answers my question.

Next groupfinder actually managed to find us a pretty good tank who knew the mechanics and whatnot and we were actually able to finish it on hm (not without a few wipes) :)

Well rather 10/10 of the time.
Tried to change tactics, but they could not hold their own both close range and far away, while both the first healer and the later second healer did it fine.

haha, first time i met tempest island boss, same problem.
annoying tornados preventing you from reviving...

in the end we managed to do it, how?

On the stairs before the boss we were about to quit until one of us started spamming light attack with his staff...right into the boss, we didnt go in and the boss met us on the steps, 2 others hid behind the rocks and healed and dps'ed from there while tank and i kept him busy, it was so easy because those little hurricane things never left the room, they didnt go to the stairs where we were fighting, boss never moved either.

    vSpindleclutch 2
    Get lowish characters
    259 Magsorc
    179 Stamblade
    119 Templar
I didn't think much of it, it's Spindleclutch after all, so we proceed...
...to wipe 3 times to Bloodspawn.
DPS is so low I take off all my usual tank stuff, throw on my Rattlecage (all I had at the time) and sure enough we clear.

I just observe the team after that.
Sorc is spamming mages wraith at full health, hard casting frags and light attacking.
Stamblade looked somewhat competent, using volley, trap beast, and flurry but I'm guessing his gear was are awful cause his damage wasn't that high either.
Templar.....lord help me. His idea of DPS was to rapid fire Shards and heavy resto attacks, with BoL thrown in as needed.

During Praxin, Sorc got the ring nearly every time and died every time. I get ring once and the templar gets hit as he was reviving the Sorc. We eventually cleart that.

Final boss, it took us literally an hour to kill. The stamblade died and DC'd never to return. Templar and Sorc must have been color blind because they stood in red, revived while it was red or got 1 shot by boss' charge. After several revives, gave up on both and proceeded to solo boss.

I was so upset afterwards, signed off to go play FFXIV, only to have terrible groups there too XD. I signed off for the night after everything. I had the biggest headache.

Lately group finder has been marking a low lvl dps as crown and/or coincidentally the player that dies the most OR who won't Rez the healer during a "break" in the fight OR the one who keeps reading the hard mode scroll after 5 wipes OR the one who bow light attacks and pops werewolf -- well you get the point. For some reason the weakest link keeps getting crown. I usually consider myself to be the weakest link with my off-meta crab and my strange race choices but geez some of these players aren't doing the bare minimum basics of rpg logic. (Wait for the healer, don't fear the adds out of the AOE, Rez the other dps, burn adds off healer, etc)

I think many of them heard that dungeons can be done with 4 dps and don't think they need anyone because they can sit and spin.... dungeons can be done with 4 dps sure, but not 4 terrible dps.

i get kicked from the servers since morrowind killed most of the server hamsters.

    Those poor hamsters :'(

As I've long said, good DPS are rare, anyone can be a semi decent tank/heal but the vast majority of DPS suck just like the ones in your group

The Tempest last boss charge is NOT a random. She will charge the person furthest away from her. If everyone stands within like 10 m circle around her("safe" circle is roughly 1 m bigger than her expanding aoe), she won't charge anyone. But you need to either stand in that sweet 1 m just outside of her aoe or stand closer and then dodge out as she does the aoe(pay attention to whirlwinds as they can push you into it).

You can survive her charge with block+shield but it's actually pretty fast, hard and if she did it it means the "victim" failed already - they went where they shouldn't have, they were too far.

It's all about the mechanics ;)

Real issue is that it's not idiot proof.
