Ebony style armor between the Heavy and Medium pieces do not look any different in appearance, particularly the chest and leg pieces. The boots while not entirely different from the Heavy Ebony style do alter their look slightly, but they don't really give the feeling of belonging of the Medium weight class and the same could also be said of the Gloves. I have also noticed that the AUDIO of the armor (When you move around, both running and walking, or jump down from a ledge and land roughly) play the sounds you would typically expect from heavy armor.
The picture below is of a defeated NPC (definitely a medium armor type, as his weapon was a bow) and as you can see his armor is different from my own medium armor chest piece but crafted in the same style, to better show what it is I'm trying to describe. I do have a set crafted in Heavy and the only difference is that the cloth undershirt of the armor is replaced with metal plates. This is the only difference between the two CRAFTED pieces.

Additional note: I'm not sure if the shoulder or helmets look different between the two types of armor. But given how the rest of the Armor appears, it wouldn't surprise me if they were. I will update this post the next time I'm in game and have had a chance to craft the pieces in question.
Many thanks for bringing this style into the game. It has always been one of my favorites and I was so glad to be able to craft in it.

Just a shame about this little annoying problem that has been nagging at me for a while now.
