Like what the heck everyone on the beta was wondering about it and no word we just assumed maybe they were holding back on us. Every zone in the game prior you could go into that place you found even if was a simple dungeon. Feels like as I run around I find this epic looking dwemer ruin go to the door nothing. Its so much useless scenery with nothing to do in between towns. Cmon I even googled what this dwemer ruin was in es3 in that it was not tied to any sort of thing that would get messed up if we went in it in ESO. On top of that the cities all over have no real reason to ever be in them again after doing there quest. Fact orsinium had more quests really is odd too.

Overall its good what we have the zone is pretty the places look good quests are nice. But its like reading a book summarized. Not really fleshed out in so many places. I feel like they need to explain if they are gonna update this at all if ever.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are unlocked in the next 3 DLC we get before the next chapter.

Agreed. The lack of accessible interiors - particularly houses in Balmora and Vivec City - makes the zone feel like it is lacking depth.

You gotta be kidding me right. DLCs on top of DLCs... it's DLCs all the way down.

(yes I know it's a chapter, Mr. ZOS marketing)

Well, this is expansion/chapter Part 1. Don't think DLCs will unlock anything. Wait for Morrowind Expansion/Chapter Part 2, part 3 etc.

...actually there are several "locked doors" in the existing regions as well, here and there. I always assumed them to be placeholders "just in case"... and I assume the same about any other doors I encounter...

Yeop DLC for sure. How else will they force people to buy the marrawand 'upgrade'. Can see the headline now. "Subs get free access to Chapter DLC*" ... "*Chapter required"

This recent update has made me sad. Sad for the game. Sad for the community. Sad to pay whatever it is now. I want the previous eso back.

I would be. They already said the coming DLC would not require Morrowind.

I expect that they nerfed recovery, in an effort to mask the lack of content, by making it take longer to finish Morrowind,

This. It would make no sense to lock DLC behind a chapter. It would cost them too much in lost subs. Hopefully they will open some of them up in the future, but if they do I am sure it will be part of Morrowind chapter.

Morrowind fanboys. Imagine the uproar if they have just removed those ruins/houses from the game entirely. Just look at the whole Sheogorod conundrum.

Looks like ZOS didn't have enough development time/money/interest to make interiors for those places. But at the same time removing them completely will make all the fanboys go bananas and scream how ESO ignores the lore and how TES3 was so much better. Not a good choice for an expansion targeted at nostalgic nerds. (not trying to use it as an insult btw)

Maybe they will add those later, maybe they will not. But for me it kinda makes sense that some dwemer ruins are actually sealed and impossible to enter. All those dwemer researchers spend years trying to collect information about dwemers and then the hero comes in without even knocking on the door, nukes all the centurions in under an hour, solves a lever puzzle and is done. Doesn't feel too immersive to me. Maybe sometimes a closed door is not lorebreaking?

They didn't have enough time to finish it. I am pretty sure they slammed straight into a deadline. You might just have them slowly opens them up over time. I certainly hope so, it is a little sad.

If it was up to me.. I'd have fighters guild quests to go into ruins and mages guild quests to go into dwarven ruins.

    Guys, but it's
    a big land mass
u pay 40 bucks for this:
    2058339_0.jpg
    Because everything else is BROKEN:
    1. Dungeon queues are broken
    2. PVP queues are broken
    3. BG's are a disaster, imbalanced ( level 10 vs level 50 and so on)
    4. The story is lackluster
    5. The new class is lackluster and dull
To top it off, dungeon finder aint fixed yet, lag is worse than ever, class imbalance at it's finest, OP sets available only for those who buy Morrowind, memory leaks and stuttering are running rampart.

BUT YOU HAVE A BIG LAND MASS, GARBLE GARBLE BLAH BLA
    I can only lol...
I would have buy if the above mentioned would have been fixed, but with 2 hours + dungeon queues, NO WAY IN HELL IM SPENDING ANOTHER DIME ON THIS GAME (can we call it that , or maybe we shall rename it Online marketeering simulator?)
Anyway, most ppl are back on the old zones, farming Necropotence liek usual.
    Have fun, yo

"Additionally, we'll have a DLC in the first quarter of each year, a Chapter in the second quarter, a dungeon-based DLC in the third quarter, and a DLC in the 4th quarter." Source

The quarterly schedule is still likely to hamstring them unless they continue to grow their workforce. (which they may be trying to do by gaining more revenue via crown crates and having non-subbed cost expansions). Since it'll likely overwork employees and cause an unpolished product.

At the same time though, a non-quarterly schedule is gonna *** off players for not enough content and potentially cost them revenue.

Wish it was lowered a bit to a DLC and Expansion once a year, dungeon-based dlc once a year, and then the rest of the time QoL fixes on currently implemented content/ more time on the Expansion. Focus on a release schedule that works based on the current number of employees and one that doesn't stress them out too much, rather than what seems to be the industry standard that leads to more unpolished products. But that'd require more transparency in order to not upset users, which would lead to fewer surprises (which is both a good and bad thing).

    Just my uneducated opinion.

Zukünftige DLCs werden Morrorwind nicht voraussetzen.

Now, if you want to parse words, he never said that every DLC would not require Morrowind, nor did he say that there would never be a DLC that requires Morrowind. He just said, simply, that future DLCs would not require Morrowind. That is good enough for me, at least as far as the next 3 DLC are concerned.
