In my previous WoW experience we had two factions (Horde and Alliance).
I was a hardcore Horde player.
Compared to ESO (I could be wrong as I am here only for like 2 months) WoW dedicated players were pretty attached to their faction...
There was not a single BG (i personally played over 20000 BGs and held "Justicar" there in my 10 yr stint there) which we did not start with yelling "For the Horde !!!!!!!!!" before rushing at Allies...

My AD/EP characters are pack mules who live their lives carrying stuff..... for my DC characters

Didn't really care about my faction in WoW, either. But, then, I'm not really in to PvP. I'm more about seeing all the world/quests/etc. So play all factions, all races, all classes.

This poll is super biased in its wording. I'm hardcore DC, but I can't pick the first option cause my mules are other factions.

I only PVP with my EP characters but I don't hate the other factions. Gotta have some enemy players to fight with!

Well, I was forced to pick AD since my first toon was a bosmer. I upgraded to the Imperial edition or whatever its called, which enables me to pick any race any faction, but since my first toon was AD, I could not join the PVP campaign on my second toon in a different faction. So, I erased my second toon and every alt is now AD.

EP for life, it's the only way to go. there's no good reason to play either of the others, they are just awful people

One Tamriel pretty much made factions irrelevant, and therefore killed the main theme of the game. So no, I no longer feel attached to any certain faction.

I pvp for DC and DC only. For pve, i have 2 EP and 1 AD, of which all were created before I started playing pvp. After I started my Cyrodil adventure, every character I created are DC based and pvp focused.

If and when they will allow faction change, I will convert my AD and EP characters into DC so I can take them to pvp. Yay!

Pact all the way! I chose my team based on what they stand for, freedom, not having the will of the covenant or Dominion forced on them

The Covenant for me though I do have three Dominion and one Pact that I like very much. And you can probably tell which I like more than the other. But really, the Alliances are just lip service to hold up Cyrodiil at this point. Except for the occasional quest in which the opposing faction is doing things their leaders would never actually approve, its barely noticeable there are any type of factions. I've about to the point where when they say Covenant or Dominion, I'm thinking oh yeah, the clubhouse. Especially when you can pop over to any town you wish and no one cares that your the enemy. I wish I had seen the game back then if just for a bit.

All pact, only play pact. I have two characters I created shortly after launch, one each in AD and D.C. - they are now mules and live in the bank. I wish I could switch them to EP! One in particular I am very attached to and so want to play her but, alas she is in the wrong alliance.

When I started playing, I already favored the pact because Dunmer... but back then I was unaware that every character could play through every alliance story thanks to Cadwells, so I made characters to expertience the others too...

Playing the stories, my attachment to the pact only grew, as that one has the only story that makes me feel good about PvPing against the others... the only story that gives me a good background as to -why- my characters would hate the other alliances and fight against them; the other faction storylines feel more like... they are jerks going to make trouble, while in the pact it feels like they are just defending their people from the other jerks come to invade their lands, kill their hatchlings, provoke a civil war, etc.
Thus I don't realy PvP on my non-pact characters... (I might visit cyrodil for the dailies, and dwelves, and such, and defend myself if attacked... but I don't go pvPlaing them as I do my pact mains!)

Now... IF there was an option to switch characters from one alliance to the other... well... I -might- leave some in covenant or dominion, but I certainly would have some of my alts there defect to the pact!

Dominion is scum, Covenant is alright by me. For the Pact :^)

As far as the lore and story go, I prefer the Aldmeri Dominion.

But when it comes to it being a game? I don't care. I only PvP for the Dominion, but I just can't hate Covenant or Pact players on the basis of alliance. Without other factions, we wouldn't have the thrill of huge sieges, or the simple joy of successfully emoting a truce in the middle of nowhere.

AD is the best faction. This isn't even debatable. I'd rather uninstall than make a character in another faction.

The altmer are morally, spiritually, culturally, and intellectually superior to all the other races of Tamriel, combined. They keep lesser races under control in their dominion by enlightening their simple minds. And they are led by the most beautiful and righteous queen in all the land.

DC and EP are a conglomeration of mongrels, barbarians, devil-worshippers, and alcoholics.

Haha. Nothing like some good ol' argonian and khajiit slaves to carry my goodies. And the best part is I can just transfer my goods to another mule and press DELETE when they start to become rebelious.

OT: Yes I only play for The Daggerfall Covenant. I like their motives and races best, plus it has the best story imo. I hate EP zergsurfers with a passion. EU Azura has been a red sea after each night for months. I kinda like AD though storywise, but dislike the PvP community there with their love of creating lagtrains. So for me it's only DC.

My main is AD and my main alt as well.

I do have, however, 1 toon in EP and 1 toon in DC, just because I wanted to re-play the stories (I love questing in pve) and I felt like creating a character that would fit into the story.

My first char was Daggerfall, so I feel a particular fondness for DC. I've played all three factions, though. It was weird playing Ebonheart for the first time and suddenly have the Daggerfall Covenant be the evil villains in the story line. I felt like I was being a traitor when I played through that quest-line. LOL!

I made a new character yesterday. She's Ebonheart, again.
