Just thought of a really interesting idea to add to house decor...

... of course i don't know the details or how they would be implemented if they were approved but the idea of having the ability to put your characters in your house like you can put down the assistants, bank/merchant/fence etc... Obviously this would be purely decor but I think it would be really neat to have your other characters in your house of choice when not playing on them. Even better have them randomly move around and do things like npc's would do like walk around sit in chairs eat/drink. Just an interesting idea that popped into my head recently :).

I had to re-read that to make sure I got you right.

This is actually a pretty cool idea - to have all our toons inhabit the house - for me to be on my DK, yet see my Sorc walking around the courtyard - this is something I would love.

Part of what bugs me much about housing is how 'dead' it feels - you place pets, they hardly ever do an animation... you place a mount it literally never does a thing... Place Assistants, same deal, not much action unless you talk to them.

We can already put living things there - but they don't act like living things - so alongside your suggestion, I would also like them to improve how living things placed in houses act and animate.

I think if ESO would implement "smart decor" for the characters to interact with it should work as long as there isnt any obstacle in the way............

    example.....

use smart chair on table and the character would automatically sit in it, after a few minutes you can set another "smart decor" object and have that character interact with that......like a bookshelf or cooking fire.

This would be a great idea.

I would love to see this. Of course Id like to see them acting as NPCs and just walking about and doing random activities so they arent statues like the Assistants.

Thats basically what I thought too. Like if you have a courtyard they might be in the courtyard just kneeling down in front of a pond, if there is one etc... I imagine it would be a bit of an undertaking though for some houses like the Craglorn cavern looking house, where it's alot of water. Not sure I ever seen an NPC swim :P. Maybe a first?
