Time of day in the game, Night in the game - noon outside the window.

European game server. In Europe it's evening, in the game it's morning. The game is on American Time, it's not convenient, in other regions of the planet. When in Europe morning, I have to close the windows tightly, because in the game - the night, and I can not see anything on the display. According to the correct logic, the time must correspond to the time zone of the game server.

Have you already bought thick velvet curtains for windows? Well done. They must be sold along with the game itself...Embroidered with Zenimax logos))

I don't think it's ever going to really match up since a Tamriel day is 6 hours (4 hours day, 2 hours night).

Yeah, that's got nothing to do with time zones. Anyway, a proper gaming room should be darkened all the time.

Game time moves much faster than IRL - watch the in-game shadows move - like a sun-dial showing you how fast time is moving.

You happen to be on a cycle that is the opposite of IRL, but it will match up again eventually.

How do you apply your "correct logic" to people in New Zealand playing on the NA server?

Dude. The tamriel time and the real world time dont match up at all. The day night cycle in game takes about 6 hours. 4 days in ESO = about 1 day irl

I have played lots of games over the last 19 or 20 years where game time didn't match real time. It's pretty much standard. What's to fret over?

I'm just talking about the process of "immersing in the game," the reality of the game. If I play at 3 am, I want to see the night in the game.

Strange. If I'm playing at 3 AM, I want to be drunk and staring at a pick n mix station like it's the most beautiful thing that's ever been invented.

First, I gotta say, I am a HUGE fan of in-game time AND weather being tied to local time and weather. Just love it. Have fondest memories of being able to tell when it is time to go to bed in WoW by the position of the in-game moon and length of the shadows, rather than looking at the clock. It added another layer of immersion to an already immersive game.

Having said that, there are several downsides. When I started playing that game, I was working two jobs, so I only saw the game at night. Which was a bit of a bummer. Still worth it though, in my opinion anyway. But some people hate it.

It doesn't run on a 24 hour clock like WoW does. So you get multiple day night cycles in the game every few hours.

Well its noon right now in the eastern time zone but in game its 2am ish. But by 1230 the Tamriel sun should start coming up. I dont see your issue.

On the other hand, if I only have time to play in the evening, I'd like to experience different day times in game and not always play when it's night in game.

Europe's easier because we're all pretty close together, but riddle me this: what's "American time" and what do we do with people in Japan or New Zealand?
