Patching - 80GB+ downloaded so far - 19% complete

So I was thinking this would be a good time to return to the game, and knowing the patch would take a while I started it and left a few hours ago. I don't really care how long it takes - but I just checked and the info I'm seeing is making me wonder if I have a problem. So far I've downloaded over 80GB of data since starting and it's saying I'm at 19% complete. Is this typical?
I could just uninstall and start it from scratch but I thought I'd check in first. Thanks!
