I just tried to update my game to Morrowind and it silently failed while trying to apply the patch, because it ran out of diskspace. No warning, it just shows "unknown file error", 27086.69MB remaining and the repair button. After checking the host.developer.log (Failed to inflate buffer continuation) and noticing that there are 0 MB left on my drive I came to the conclusion that this is indeed the problem.
I don't know what you are thinking, but not everyone has 40GB+ of free space on their SSDs just for patching a game. I also don't see why it needs to patch all files at once. Why can't it just patch the depot files one by one and not use up all my space?
Luckily I have another HDD with more space where I can copy the game to just for patching and copy it back later, but this is really ridiculous. With future updates just making the game bigger I don't see how this will get any better. You seriously need to rethink this before the next update.
