@Alcast I'm already trying to make a warden mag dd build and so I've a question regarding your Ice & Fire build.. There is one point I don't know, better said I don't understand.. you prefer 5 pcs moondancer over a 3 md / 2 monster combination also for solo, specially vma...

why? the 5pcs bonus only counts when activating a synergy... the only logical explaination is that blue netch counts as synergy..

hopefully this is the answer, else I've no idea why, and anything else doesn't make sense for me at the moment..

Hey, ye thats a very good point, did not even realize that lol. Ye a Monster set will be the better choice there. I think my brain was mud after creating all those builds on my page and I forgot about MSA setup. Let me change that, I will also add it to the BiS gearsetup option so people can give it a try.

And ye the reason why I use it in groups is, because most of the times you want to be ranged so Grothdarr is not really helpful. Of course, if you are in a melee spot youi can give Grothdarr a try. the 5x MD proc is pretty powerful tho in terms of resource management and damage output.

    Thanks again :)

Thanks for all the work on this thread.

Can I ask you what race would be best for Stamblade? Currently running a build similar to your stam sorc 2 hander due to broken DW weaving on console. I'm currently an Orc but would like to know which race would optimal for PVE(don't really PVP at all). Running 5 hunding and spriggan with heavy kragh shoulder. Also currently have 68% crit with Major Savagery up.

+1 awesome for the hard work. I ought to farm VO (Is totally not crying, I promise).

And if you are still looking into templar tanking, try 5 seducer 5 worm (or SPC) with troll king or Rekugamz (will never spell that right...). So many outgoing heals that you could probably keep the squishy stam DPS alive through all but one shots, and an AOE stam return proc on healing done is insanely helpful.

Wow thank you Alcast, this is huge contribution you give us here.

A quick question about the DK tank, or 2 in fact.
    - I understand the "maximizing life" strategy is worth now since new changes in CP system, especially with the synergy with shields. But is it really that good in trials? Don't you depend too much on others to restore ressources ? I feel more comfortable to play with 35k life and 30k vigor and 17k magicka when group is sloppy, it's easier to manage resources.
    - While I understand the infused trait helps you get more health, why not go all for sturdy on your gear to reduce block cost. Its is so costly with the new CP system (more than 50 are not that rewarding).?

    Thanks for your time,

As a player who enjoys the frontline, I've been giving the Stamsorc 2h build a try in a new character altogether. It's been an amazing set-up so far! the shielding and splash/cleave is just ridiculously fun to have!

Question however is how the 2h build compares to the DW build in terms of mitigation?

I agree, I'm more than a little nervous about rebuilding my tank with such a reliance on others for his stamina.

FWIW, Woeler's latest tank build utilises Sturdy all round.

Khajiit is most damage. I choose redguard bc of slightly better sustain. Imperial and orc also good choice.

Thx :) to how many targets does trollking apply? Ye looking into rekuga...set haha. Need to sonehiw find a way to reliably restore stamina.

In the end you need to feel comfortable with your setup. Best is to check what other people run so you can test out new ideas. There is no "best in slot". Everyone has a different playstyle.
And ye, if ya can sustain without sturdy then niceeee, if not then use sturdy.

Hey! Ye thats the weak point for me atm. DW has 25% more damage mitigation. That is why i usually still recommend running dualwield setup, especially for the new trial.

@Alcast I don't know how many tarets troll king applies to, actually. I'll mess around with it and let you know what I find, but I imagine where it has no mentioned GCD on the tool tip that it works on any target healed under 60%. Extended ritual works great for this, especially on a tank build.

If you decide to try the Sentinel set, keep in mind that it only procs if you actually heal the target (think gossamer's dodge chance effect). If you use this and SPC, your heals are buffing your teammates most of the time. That, and PotL gives you great ultimate generation and debuffs with minor breach and fracture.

Also, empowering sweep can make you very tanky during dangerous phases, and if you choose to use automated defense instead of seducer, I imagine you could get a pretty nice uptime for the major aegis (though probably not worth the loss of warhorn).

Thanks for the advice! I'm at the motion of levelling both DW and 2H at the same time with DW taking priority for the moment.

Could there also be ways to resolve the lacking mitigation around 2h in single-target fights? Or are they completely lacking in that department that they shouldn't be considered? I've more or less seen very little 2h stamina builds running around for PvE except this one.

    Edit: Corrected a few things!

Bump! I'm desperately hoping that some other variations of the 2h Stam sorc build for PVE come about. I cant get my hands on TFS and that seems to throw the whole CP allocation out of whack, needing to put 26 points into piercing to bring it up to par, but sacrificing them from where?!

I think it mostly depends on preference, if you were more comfortable with the other setup, then go for it.

The lack of mitigation is really only a problem in the new trial Halls of Fabrication. So you should be fine with 2H everywhere else because of Brawler Shield.

My problem with these guides is that they are worth nothing to a new player, let me tell you why, i'm a fairly new player and my first end game char is a stam sorc, i've found the build on deltia's gaming and it helped me a lot as a new player because it was very detailed in my progression through the game with the skills, passive and ability bar progression through certain levels, why are you people don't do ability bar progression on each class? do you have a clue how hard is for a new player that's looking for a guide to actually get his way through the game randomly using skills and choosing passives? these guides are useless for new players, think about that when you're making the next guide and take a look at how a guide should look: http://deltiasgaming.com/eso-stamina-sorcerer-dps-build/. Too bad is outdated when it comes to champion points and had to look at your guide for that. I'm not saying that your guides are not good or useless, only that they are useless for new players. Thank you.

You can use a fire staff on the backbar. Sure with double shock staff you loose the fire proc, but it is not THAT bad tbh. you still do about 1,1-1,6k Single Target DPS from that set alone. The thing why we use so many shock abilities is because of the proc chance of concussion.

So if you have a lot of sorcs in the group, go with fire staff. If you have only 1 other sorc in group, better go double shock staff.

    Hi Alqast,

I see this is Vanas, not yours. But do you know why doesn't she use Healer's Habit set? It gives 8% more healing. It could be instead of Karegnar's Hope, for example. I found Healer's Habit not so long ago in the market and thought it was a must have for every healer, until I saw this build (which seems very well done).

Of course, in the end you should use whatever suits you better, but I'm interesting in why wouldn't Vanas (or you) choose Healer's Habit.

    Thanks!

    Thanks!

Healer's habit grants you minor mending, which templars get just for standing in their ritual or focus rune. Sadly, named buffs don't stack.

Hey Alcast, thanks for sharing all of those builds. First, wish you all the best for the upcoming exams.

As on consoles we don't have so much possibilities to get a detailed combat log, may I ask why you're slotting mages light instead of mages wrath on your Magsorc pet build?
Does it work out better to have the higher crit chance instead of a execute skill?

Edit: No way I got more dps using Mages wrath. So I keep slotting Mages light as well. Giving a whole bunch of extra magicka from the mages guild passive (around 3k).
