If I apply ele drain to 5 mobs, then place an AOE on them, I get the Ele Drain benefit X's 5 correct?
400x5=2000.
I would get 2000 Magicka every 1 second? Is this correct?

No. It's 400 Magicka every second, no matter how many enemies you apply it on. Note there still kind of is a benefit in getting Drain on several targets in a trash pull in case not everyone hits that one mob or it dies first, taking the drain with it, but you won't get extra magicka for hitting several targets with it.
Magickasteal from templar Aura works that way too despite being aoe.0 -
