Once again thanks zos for leaving consoles behind. "early access pc only" even though you stated will release for all at the same time. Just out of curiosity do you have a demographic of pc and console player numbers?

Yeah, love all the blame to the company that doesn't control it.

The game is "launching" on the same date on all platforms. PC gets the early release. I'm sure Sony and Microsoft are the ones blocking that. Stop crying and blaming ZoS for everything.

I know it is console vendors but, if you send in for licenses early enough it works out in time?
So yes thanks zos for not sending in licenses earlier to console companys and letting us get early access!

Also they know that it takes a really long time to get the early access licenses every single time so you think they would prepare for that. Constructive criticism that I hope they see for chapter 2 thats all!

I wish people would stop blaming MS/Sony for not getting the early release. This is ZoS and only ZoS. They advertised a June 6 launch and could still keep to that if they wanted. (Yes, by sitting on the pc version.)
Yeah, pc master race yadda yadda. Doesn't mean it's right.

    Please.

ZOS knows damn well how long it takes to get things approved by Micro and Sony.
ZOS promised the same release day.
ZOS planned the release day long in advance.
ZOS plans its release based on all the factors including the console approval process.

Either console releases were unexpectedly delayed because their coding is crap and BOTH console companies are giving ZOS a hard time, or ZOS decided to give PC early access because . . . they're ZOS. I'm going with the latter. ZOS takes poor decision-making to an Olympic sport level.

    @bigspender42002

FYI. It's not Zos. It's your console and it will happen each and every time there is a major update. Zos cannot send the update for review until it's ready which will be this week.

Your consoles have procedures Zos must follow. That's the reason for the delay. No matter how many threads are created on the subject Zos cannot change it. these is no reason to delay This PC launch to suite the needs to the console hosts.

Advertised as one thing, but they go against their own word..... Seems a common trend with ZOS...

Regardless of licenses for consoles taking longer, ZOS are the ones who stated clearly that it would be released on all platforms at the same time... Allowing early access for PC is going against what they stated and they could have done an early release for consoles as well if they cared.... but they dont.....

More shadey business is all I see in the future of ZOS. It's the reason I am teetering on the edge of quitting completely.... well that and the fact that they don't know how to run an mmo, balance one, or fix issues.... They know one thing.... money..... but they will eventually cost themselves more money in the long run if they don't do something about their staff or their way of thinking.... one or the other or both.

    Agreed.

Personally? I'm researching other MMORPG's to play.

Got back into LotRO, Neverwinter, EQ2 and a couple of others. They're good MMO's. Not great, but good. They definitely have more stability in their development directions then ESO does.

Kind of interested in Ashes of Creation, but they're not even at the "Alpha test" stage yet.

So, when everything goes "south" once Morrowind releases (because after a significant amount of time crawling through the PTS, South is the only direction this game is going...), I'll probably stick to my core MMO's.

I've been playing MMORPG's for too many decades to not notice when a game is turning for the worse. I just didn't think it would come at the three-year mark for ESO.

But; MMO's come and MMO's go. Such is the nature of the industry. There's too many good MO's on the market to get hung up on just one that doesn't have any kind of direction to the updates.

Not accurate as they hadn't submitted for cert when they announced PC...it was a ZOS decision, not that Sony or Xbox delayed their request

Heck Xbox keeps sending me emails about the release date changing so it's definitely not Xbox

    Oh shush!

This is ZOS throwing PC users a bone as a way of saying thank you for testing their update. It was PC users who found all the quest and skill related bugs and got them fixed and tested for free. So you guys wouldn't have a broken main quest at launch...your welcome btw.

Just like Skyrim PC owners got it for free, who wrote all those mods console users get to use with SE? Us PC plebs that's who.

Just leave it be. Console is favored in every other way..just let oc users get their small moment

Well, I wish ZOS hadn't done the whole "early access" thing, because it's not fair to console users, but ...
They said you'd get to play on June 6th, and you're still getting to play on June 6th. Nothing has been taken away from you, and you're not being inconvenienced in any way. Threads like this just arise out of jealousy.

Once I played a game by another company and learned that a different platform would be getting an expansion for it before I would. (Don't remember which game it was, or I'd write it here.) My first reaction was to say "Whaaaaaattt???" But then I got over it. Yes, I was a little jealous someone else got to play it first, but it really wasn't that big of a deal. So, this very thing happened to me, too, with a different game.

    I haven't waited. ;)

As I said, I'm already back spending much more time with my Core MMORPG's. I think; after spending nearly a month crawling over the PTS (and suffering the resulting disappointment and nausea), I've logged into the Live servers for a total of around... 4-8 hours? In a month. And that's being very generous with my time assessment. I used to put in 14-28 hours per week, but after seeing what's coming with Morrowind, I've all-but completely gone back to my tried-and-true MMORPG's.

I still log in for just a few minutes to do Guild Management, but nothing more than that. My Main has been standing in the same exact spot for a full month now. There's really no reason to move him. :D

So yeah, no waiting here. Unless ZOS reverts and abandons all of the changes coming with Morrowind, there's no reason for me to log-in anymore beyond Guild Management tasks.

ZOS is the one deciding to release early. If they hadn't come out and said they would all release at the same time I would agree with you. But that is not the case.

Zos made an agreement with Sony and Microsoft to release on the 6th. Zos then tells everyone that morrowind will release on the 6th for all platforms.

Zos then goes back on that. Zos has agreement with Sony and Microsoft so they can't go back on that agreement. However the only agreement we as the players have is zos word that they would release on the same day. As has happened before, zos went back on what they said previously.

So ZOS going back on their word is not anyone fault but zos. Changing the release to early access is just another example of them playing word games.

Every single major patch that ZOS has ever done since the release of the Console Versions has been finished two weeks in advance

It's not a coincidence that PC early access happens exactly two weeks before the main release.

ZOS is giving PC players the patch whenever it's ready.

ZOS cannot give Console players the patch whenever it's ready, because Microsoft and Sony have a certification process that lasts... you guessed it, two weeks.

Honestly, I hope all these drama-queen, "Morrowind updates will kill the game, I'm leaving" would actually DO IT! Just leave, go away, don't let the door hit you! We don't need your negativity because the game WILL go on, players WILL adjust as they always have. Every MMO makes huge changes periodically, ESO is no different. I have been here two years now and have seen builds come and go turned obsolete by game updates, and guess what... the game went on, people adjusted, all the naysayers realized that it wasn't the end of the world. But, if you're the type who wants to keep your same build over the many years the game exists, then perhaps now is the time for you to leave, that way we all don't have to listen to the whining all over again with the next update.
