Please prioritize the "Pet Command" directive over heavy attack aggro

When fighting anything with pets, it's crucially important to know when it's appropriate to have it retreat back to your side. Having heavy attacks override the de-aggro function of the Pet Command toggle is resulting in unintended suicidal tendencies of pets when the caster is just trying to restore resources. Please let the Pet Command take precedence over the heavy attack aggro (doesn't affect console in any way) or put a toggle in the Combat section that disables the heavy attack aggro function.

There is no need for this. After the incoming nerf we will be back to laughing about pets again and not run them.

The fact that this change would not affect console is probably why it will not happen.

There is probably a great deal they could break messing with aggro mechanics. And the benefit would be to only 1/3 of the players at most.

If it were me, I'd avoid this change. The cost/benefit math doesn't add up.

Or they could do it right and fix it.

Seriously, if we are weighing the benefit of a fix versus the devs' ability to implement it without breaking something else, we need to play another game.

They added a way for console users to control who their pets attack, and at the same time messed up the mechanics of how PC users have been controlling their pets for a great deal of time. It's not a QOL improvement, it's fixing a problem that was caused by its introduction.

OP has a point though. It's the thing that people who only look at parses vs stationary targets or YouTube videos but never played with Sorc pets themselves don't get. They need to be great to overcome all their shortcomings that are there since their implementation.

As a console player, I'd like to be able to control my pets with tab targeting or some variation on that method (e.g., a double-click tab-target or a left-stick click).

I don't use pets so I missed the change on the console. Thanks for the correction.

Never thought of tab-target targeting. That'd be doubly beneficial.

what. I mentioned this same idea to you some weeks ago <.<

Anyways, agreed but only withdrawing the pet should override heavy attack, kr heavy attack wont work any more.

So order of priority should be: Withdraw > heavy attack = command pet.
