Lower level alchemy solvents being required when they are unobtainable (likely artifacts of pre-1T)

I know of 2 instances where a max level character might require a lower level alchemy solvent that is unobtainable to them (for something that is relevant to them at their level). I've submitted /feedback on these but they have not been fixed (and I can't imagine either of these are particularly difficult to change).

- Orzorga's Red Frothgar is a drink that scales up to CP160, but requires Clear Water to craft. As far as I can tell, Clear Water is unobtainable to max level characters with max alchemy rank. (And no, I am not pay 10k to reset all my skill points just to harvest Clear Water). This also seems to be the only food item whose ingredients become unobtainable once your character progresses (if anyone knows of any others, please list them and I'll add them here).
- Max level alchemy writs very rarely seem to require Cloud Mist to complete. As far as I can tell, Cloud Mist is unobtainable to characters who are actually doing max level alchemy writs unless they happen to have the right CP.

For the writs, the fix is obvious: replace Cloud Mist with Lorkhan's Tears. I would recommend doing the same for Orzorga's Red Frothgar, but I don't believe the developers will remember to update it if they ever increase the level cap. I'd rather see Clear Water replaced with something like Isinglass (though Lorkhan's Tears is fine too).

Update: for the Cloud Mist on max alchemy writs, I may have been mistaken. It looks like they actually require Lorkhan's Tears (as an objective), but just say 'cloud mist' in the description (in your journal, 'I have been tasked to find...').

Orzorga's Red Frothgar is still a problem I would like to see fixed, though.

Have you tried to make the Red Frothgar? Reason I ask is Clear Water is for L10, and it should be L1 Water if this recipe is to scale from L1 to CP160. If your alchemy solvent rank is maxed, you should be able to use any water in the game to make this. I am not at my gaming machine so I can't try it. Then again, L10 is where all other Blue Foods and Drinks start, so that could be the reason it's Clear Water and not Natural Water.

In any event, will the recipe allow any water, other than maybe Natural, to make it?

I don't make Drinks all that often so I have not tried as of yet.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Making Red Frothgar does consume Clear Water. I'm not sure why it would not, and I'm not aware of any case where a food or drink can be made with an item that is not listed in the ingredients on the recipe or at the creation window. (Recipes don't scale; the benefits you get from the item, on the other hand, scale within a specified level range.)

I don't have an easy way of testing this, but if you find that you can craft these without Clear Water, let me know.

This is almost an Alchemy thing in that it uses Water and not a Fruit or Grain or Plant Extract, and the only real difference there is the Solvent used, that is why I asked.

    1. /bug it in game. If you said you did, I missed it.
    2. I have low level alts that are not master crafters. If I put the right number of skill points in, they get T1, T2,T3 alchemy stuff.
    3. Buy from others. Personally, I have over 1K of the T2 solvents.
Power level to CP160 in a week:
Where is the end game? You just played it.
Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.
    Where is new content? Sigh.

Just to be clear, I'm not asking for advice on how to get the crafting materials currently.

And yes, you can certainly reset skill points to get the materials, or buy them from other people - I don't see either of these as good options. There isn't any thing else in the game that you (a) would want to craft for your CP160, maxed out character and that you (b) would either need to make a low level alt or go searching on guild stores or reset your skill points to actually find the materials for, because you are locked out of obtaining them in-game yourself. (The closest thing is alliance war motifs, but those aren't restricted by level.)

As I said (in the first paragraph), I've submitted /feedback about this a while ago and it has yet to be fixed. I'm posting here in the hopes of drawing more attention to it, or getting a response that there is no intention to fix this.
